Bokeh Effect

Morning all.

I hope you all had a lovely Halloween.  I took my daughter trick or treating in our local village with a few of the parents from school and she loved it.  Trick or Treating in France is called "bonbon ou un sort" which roughly translate as sweets/candy or a spell.

My daughter came back with a bucket load of sweets.  I am surprised she got as much as she did as this year there were loads of children out enjoying themselves.

Anyway back to a bit of crafting.  I was browsing through the card challenge sites looking for inspiration when I came across the challenge over at Fusion.

What an amazing inspiration picture and I just had to give the challenge ago and combine it with a Spellblogger post.

I decided I wanted to use the inspiration picture and give the Bokeh effect ago.  The last time I tried it I ended up using bleach as I didn't have a white ink pad.

I started off by creating my background by using a selection of blue and green inks and begin with the darkest colours around the edge.  I then finished with the light blue in the centre.

To create the Bokeh effect I made a stencil using acetate and a small circle die.  I then place this over my card stock and begin inking through the holes using a white ink pad and a sponge dauber.

I then added some die cut leaves using the Die D-Lites All Leaves die from Spellbinders.  I cut some from foil card stock and a couple from some lovely pearlescent card stock that a friend gave me.

I then finished my card with a die cut greeting which is also from Spellbinders called Shapeabilities Simply said Phrase One.  I cut this from black card cardstock.

Please check out the Spellbinders website for more details about the dies I have used.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day.

This card is also for the challenge over at Crop Stop.
