Our family life has become my full priority at the moment, especially as my husband is working in the UK, which has left very little time for me to craft. I have also taken on more hours at my day job to help with the day to day bills etc... This means I will not be sharing any design team projects for the Daring Cardmakers for a while. We plan to resettle back in the UK but not sure when that might be.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I will be back to crafting once our personal life calms and we are back together again.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So this is not goodbye, I am taking a very very long break.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Thank you for all your support and I will see you all soon.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p>Dawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15776732129093148573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1888268527041030011.post-22208485892051584942023-12-15T09:00:00.001+01:002023-12-15T09:00:00.143+01:00Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt - BAUBLE<p style="text-align: center;"> <span style="background-color: white; I disappeared for 3 weeks as we have been without our phone line due to the recent storm here in Brittany, France. The area suffered lots of damage and lots of homes including ours were without power and telephone. Thankfully we are now back up and running so I am going to make this a little catch up post with my projects so far for the <a href="https://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/">Daring Cardmakers</a>.</p><p style="text-align: center;">The last two challenges from the team were word prompts.</p><p style="text-align: center;">So the first one was COSY. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKd3ide9G560z4RmF-CafSyxDCqN4dynLxxRMgmPraMZCMAQX4SByqQx_SCjgKsFkHrmr2edIEwAxvw89GlgG_nI0y-aPz6M_7kcb7h59ZhjuXItpbKRfg1nBYRkTvdGzyN7Yk6BxPeujsPcPMTAik2pxSTKqJbheMBn4m723EuB-dRHr8EOe__B5lFc8/s4032/20231109_145022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKd3ide9G560z4RmF-CafSyxDCqN4dynLxxRMgmPraMZCMAQX4SByqQx_SCjgKsFkHrmr2edIEwAxvw89GlgG_nI0y-aPz6M_7kcb7h59ZhjuXItpbKRfg1nBYRkTvdGzyN7Yk6BxPeujsPcPMTAik2pxSTKqJbheMBn4m723EuB-dRHr8EOe__B5lFc8/s320/20231109_145022.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I decided to make a COSY winter scene shaker card. Well is Christmas classed as a season maybe I should have said Winter.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I wanted to share a project with you that uses a summer feeling stamp and die set. I was inspired by the festive scents of Christmas when I made this card.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9lUtYlVz3YlwlLsUFuWzy8QEWUkptdE6N7GmKlbHty-E88ITy1AbgYZxwe8HwBMnk5j6HnWFPR89ShVfW4SB4Cj2p0UBNVwe589Wi1cBJB7mXpXU8gbnmWxSbl8bxYwT5lhbLtC8d6wR8fm_UEBwoKh8COU_STg7t2Fmu3wJ-szCr10_p8fjN_bHez6o/s2426/20230705_152819.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2426" data-original-width="1890" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9lUtYlVz3YlwlLsUFuWzy8QEWUkptdE6N7GmKlbHty-E88ITy1AbgYZxwe8HwBMnk5j6HnWFPR89ShVfW4SB4Cj2p0UBNVwe589Wi1cBJB7mXpXU8gbnmWxSbl8bxYwT5lhbLtC8d6wR8fm_UEBwoKh8COU_STg7t2Fmu3wJ-szCr10_p8fjN_bHez6o/s320/20230705_152819.JPG" width="249" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I used the Sweet Citrus bundle from Stampin Up to make the orange slices. I then used the foliage from the decorated with happiness set which is also from Stampin up. I also used another die from Spellbinders called parcel and post for the little red berry and gold stems. All I needed for this card was a little bit of cinnamon and it would have the perfect festive fragrance. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_poyR8JOrpfo6UN-lKEfC0xd_QmZSFAkofJxLF5gn9f9pBc2wxdCEMpSvguuuGrBdjNmGOZgTdpogGmLswA5g3Ltzfak8Z_-1Vhiv5msQxVCf71J-152X7pTQHHhAXSDOHfqN48eoItuz9pJLGxcliP4m_G4PGLXtpMWSQwOzy7a0soJVvdnc_Afa638/s2880/20230705_152826.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2880" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_poyR8JOrpfo6UN-lKEfC0xd_QmZSFAkofJxLF5gn9f9pBc2wxdCEMpSvguuuGrBdjNmGOZgTdpogGmLswA5g3Ltzfak8Z_-1Vhiv5msQxVCf71J-152X7pTQHHhAXSDOHfqN48eoItuz9pJLGxcliP4m_G4PGLXtpMWSQwOzy7a0soJVvdnc_Afa638/s320/20230705_152826.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I also used an embossing folder to add some festive interest to the base of the card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.</div><br /><p><br /></p>Dawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15776732129093148573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1888268527041030011.post-50792115504334936592023-08-25T09:00:00.001+02:002023-08-25T09:00:00.147+02:00Daring Cardmakers - Billions of Butterflies<p style="text-align: center;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 15.4px; text-align: center;">Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the </span><a href="https://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/" style="background-color: white; color: #ff32a9; font-family: inherit; font-size: 15.4px; text-align: center; text-decoration-line: none;">Daring Cardmakers</a><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 15.4px; text-align: center;">.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: inherit;">Our love host this weeks is Shabneez who has </span><span style="color: #222222;">chosen</span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"> the theme of butterflies.</span></span></span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I bet every crafter has some sort of butterfly in their craft stash. I love it in there as they also stock my favourite cleaning products by the brand Fabulosa. I think I can officially call myself an Action fan. So today I have another home décor piece to share with you, using one of the many box frames I have.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I have used the fun and zesty <a href="https://www.stampinup.uk/products/sweet-citrus-photopolymer-stamp-set-english">Sweet Citrus</a> stamp set along with the matching die set. You can also get the coordinating embossing folder to give the lemons loads of dimension. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwlwhX2AL6nIMGO2qq8oub_TJE63mmbWhqZXkwBZy7_c_fDZglYckVSh1NqVlz6uHB7BdiI4tSlRJZSKTQwSOXH7BJc56oYYJ_3Iv6YiJyu8sr35GesztT3wPt5Xf8xFYtS4xmT3DxlYKvtHMhWSK9mz76kO1V-wlnjNcd62-BJc50xCIAlMiL73EH/s2880/20230614_083509.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2880" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwlwhX2AL6nIMGO2qq8oub_TJE63mmbWhqZXkwBZy7_c_fDZglYckVSh1NqVlz6uHB7BdiI4tSlRJZSKTQwSOXH7BJc56oYYJ_3Iv6YiJyu8sr35GesztT3wPt5Xf8xFYtS4xmT3DxlYKvtHMhWSK9mz76kO1V-wlnjNcd62-BJc50xCIAlMiL73EH/s320/20230614_083509.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have created a wreath to put inside the frame and added a die cut sentiment in the centre.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT4-EZP-wtqghd3nSNlexA_IS8oWS9r9-VXUk2ykTSGeWyIS9B270YkRw5Pvy5ULqSQ8ifhm0zz64fVp1RMGd2hV2NsXbPuOABXdEtIfFqZWNLTzb9V2fpGG2ncYcbMIlm-DgqTQ7tXyJ6SRypKE9CNr4Xwyi3r9oiRrsHs3kZs8nXvlcBWvi6akIM/s2880/20230614_083514.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2880" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT4-EZP-wtqghd3nSNlexA_IS8oWS9r9-VXUk2ykTSGeWyIS9B270YkRw5Pvy5ULqSQ8ifhm0zz64fVp1RMGd2hV2NsXbPuOABXdEtIfFqZWNLTzb9V2fpGG2ncYcbMIlm-DgqTQ7tXyJ6SRypKE9CNr4Xwyi3r9oiRrsHs3kZs8nXvlcBWvi6akIM/s320/20230614_083514.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This actually hangs in my entrance hall way to welcome visitors and the summer months.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisUwauPjn90P1AszlOUvxEIaI2ZvUwNegigoV_ktqtcd3dxoFhnc9fRP4RUMtkTB3JUX5xXZPYCvZzjt3qiilsh-dkvpe69vuuBkN5oLG6NJoOy42sGKRD5sOVetHK1ZMTkkul1VTAXpkQx32jQZlyJa0TNhMw5Ye9GlosjJtd8xl1AwjICJ-asXh-/s2880/20230614_083518.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2880" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisUwauPjn90P1AszlOUvxEIaI2ZvUwNegigoV_ktqtcd3dxoFhnc9fRP4RUMtkTB3JUX5xXZPYCvZzjt3qiilsh-dkvpe69vuuBkN5oLG6NJoOy42sGKRD5sOVetHK1ZMTkkul1VTAXpkQx32jQZlyJa0TNhMw5Ye9GlosjJtd8xl1AwjICJ-asXh-/s320/20230614_083518.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I also added some more foliage to the wreath using the <a href="https://www.stampinup.uk/products/lighting-the-way-photopolymer-stamp-set-english">Lighting The Way</a> stamps and matching dies.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I added a few table diamonds to the inside of the frame to add lots of sparkle and a few gems.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Dawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15776732129093148573noreply@blogger.com2
