Cupcake 194.... Royalty

Over at Cupcake Craft they have a new weekly challenge which is Royalty.

So here is my take on the challenge.

As most of the royal family served in the armed forces I thought I would base my card around that.  Its also fits in perfectly for my Dad's birthday as he served in the Royal Navy.

I found this old page from a seaman ship manual containing signal flags so I used that for the main topper of my card.  I have also used backing papers from Prima Natures Garden and the stamped images are also from the Prima Printery collection.

Happy New Home

Just a little card to share.

My Husbands cousin and partner have just bought their first house together so here is the card I have made to congratulate them.

I have used a digi stamp from Pink Petticoat and I have coloured the image with promarkers.  The papers are also from Pink Petticoat and the die cut scalloped circle is from Spellbinders.  I have then used ribbon to finish off the bunting and added some coloured flowers using Spellbinders Rose Creation die.

I am entering this card into The Ribbon Reel Challenge.  The challenge is to create a card /project using the COLOURS from the inspiration photo below (CORAL, BRIGHT/CHARTREUSE GREEN & BLUE) plus use a DIE CUT/PUNCH plus RIBBON & FLOWERS!

Crafty Play Date

I had a lovely day yesterday crafting with my friend, but yet again I didn't get any cards made.  I did have a play with my friends embossing folders and made the card up when I came home.

Its very hard to see as its white on white but I have used a happy birthday embossing folder and used my friends die's for the card shape.

I have then added pink, blue, lilac and ivory flowers with a pale green butterfly and a ribbon bow.

This card is for The Ribbon Reel Challenge #28 Spring Colours.

For the challenge you had to use DRY EMBOSSING plus
IVORY/WHITE, LILAC, PINK
and SOFT GREEN/TURQUOISE plus RIBBON

Another Box

After my last post with my bauble box I felt that it wasn't really strong enough so I have made a new box using corrugated card, which I love at the moment.

I have used the same box template as before but stuck the corrugated card to the box then added the flowers.

This box is for The Ribbon Girl colour challenge #19 with the beautiful photo below for inspiration.

Cupcake 192 .....Simpy No design papers birthday and Mojo Monday 241

Here is my entry for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge where you are not allowed to use any design papers to make a birthday card.

I have used digi stamp and sentiment from Pink Petticoat and more cardboard box.  I thought this would make a great card for a child or even a male.

I am also entering this into Mojo Monday Sketch challenge.

TSTR Week # 114 - Beautifully Shaped

The challenge this week over at The Shabby Tea Room is to make a shaped card or project and be inspired by the colours in the photo below.

I got the idea from HERE.

Thank You Shabby Tea Room

I have received a Honorable Mention Cup of Tea at The Shabby Team Room  challenge (As Pretty as a Pitcher) for my tea pot card.  I really pleased so thank you very much.

They have a new challenge every week with some very inspiring projects from the Shabby Girls so hop over and take a look.

Lots of sun not enough ice cream

The weekend here in France has been lovely, very sunny with bright blue skies.  Fantastic weather for ice cream.

So here is a card to go with the weather:

I have used papers, digi stamp and sentiment from Pink Petticoat.  The papers can be found HERE but the Sweet Sundae set is no longer available.

I have coloured the ice cream with pro markers to look like mint choc chip.

I have also used an old cardboard box for the centre circle and put it through my Bigshot.

This card is for the CR84FN54 Color Challenge and A Gem of a Challenge week 46

Big Blue Congratulations

Here is a sweet card that my friend asked me to make for a new baby boy.  All the papers and digi stamps can be found HERE and HERE at Pink Petticoat.  I have used this layout before on a previous card but loved it so thought I would make another.

TSTR Week#113 - 'As pretty as a {Pitcher}

Its another fun and fabulous week over at The Shabby Tea Room. This weeks theme is Pretty as a {pitcher} and to include a rose and be inspired by colours in the photo below.

Here is my entry.

The Shabby Girls featured teapots in their cards so I thought why not make my card a teapot.  The backing papers are from Prima Natures Garden and I have cut the little butterfly from one of the papers and added some crackle accents to its markings.

The little cream roses I bought this week and were only 2€ and you got loads of little bouquets, so I pulled them apart to use.  I have then used Spellbinders rose creation die, added a organza flower and I have added some of the backing papers to it, to make the flower look fuller and a bit darker.

I am entering this card into the Cupcake Craft Challenge. and CR84FN colour challenge.

TSTR week #112 'Spring is Love'

I have been so busy that I didn't get to post much last week and I missed entering The Shabby Tea Room's weekly challenge but I have made sure I have entered this weeks.

This weeks theme is Spring is Love and Debbie is our wonderful host who has chosen the picture at the bottom for inspiration to create a card or project using polka dots,  flowers and a heart.

Here is my entry:

The digi stamp is from Pink Petticoat and so is the little sentiment flag.
The green polka dot paper is from a free download from Do Crafts which can be found HERE and its called retail therapy.  The pink paper is also from Pink petticoat and I used a heart cookie cutter as a template.  I then added some lace and half a doily.
