Cottoning On - Daring Cardmakers.

Its Jo's turn this week at Daring Cardmakers to host the challenge.  This weeks dare is called Cottoning On and Jo would like to see some sort of cotton on your card.  It could be cotton thread, cotton wool, cotton fabric etc..

Here is my card:

I have gone all pretty and girlie this week.  My cotton element is the lace which I bought from The Ribbon Reel  Which is made from cotton.

The image and sentiment are from My Time Made Easy which I have downloaded, coloured using promakers and added some glitter.  The flower is a die from Spellbinders called rose creation.

Christmas is coming.

I have been making final preparations ready for our second baby to arrive.  We had a lovely day shopping for baby supplies along with Christmas decoration shopping at the weekend.  Every year I always buy something new for the tree.  We visited our local garden centre and it was full of the most gorgeous decorations I have ever seen a proper winter wonderland.  My daughter loved it, she posed for a photo with every tree colour combination is was lovely.

I have also finished my little sleighs ready to sell at my daughters Christmas school fete just in case our baby arrives early.

The template for the sleigh is from My Time Made Easy called sleigh ride and was fairly easy to put together. I just then bought some chocolate from the supermarket to add to them.

My daughter loves this ones as she says its Elsa's sleigh from Disney's Frozen.

The papers I have used to decorate the sides are from Do Crafts called Bellissima Christmas.

For this one I went bit non traditional and used pink, purple and gold.

All ready for delivery!!

Something Old, Something New

Welcome to another week of Daring Cardmakers fun.  This weeks host is Lythan and the dare this week is to combine new purchases with old stash.  Any excuse to go craft shopping!!!

Although I have to admit I found this dare tough.

My new purchases for this card were the little wooden stocking that I picked up at my local craft shop for a bargain price of 65c and the packet also contained a few more.  The little die cut baubles are also new from a set from Spellbinders which includes a 3d Christmas tree.

My old stash was the ribbon which I picked up from Lidl last Christmas and the die cut snowflakes were cut from off cuts that I keep in my paper stash.  The snowflake die was also last years Christmas present to myself.

Light A Candle

Its Kathy's turn to host this weeks challenge at Daring Cardmakers.  Kathy would like to see some candles on your card.  I love having candles lit in my home and there is a certain brand of candle that I love which I am hoping to get for Christmas.  I always have a stash in my house as last year we went without power for a few days and luckily the electric came back on for Christmas Day.  The house did feel very cosy.

Here is my card:

I could think of lots of ways to put a candle on my card.  From stamping to using the little birthday candles for cakes.  So I decided to use rolled paper.  The wicks for my candles came from the stems of the stars that I used in the bunting.  I then just added a little greeting.
