Box Cards

I have totally become addicted to Pinterest and whilst browsing I came across these box cards. They fold flat like a card but pop up like a box. You can then fill them with whatever embellishments you want, flowers, stars etc.... So they exploded out of the top.
So for this weeks challenge at Daring Cardmakers we would like to see your Box Cards.

Its my Dads 70th birthday soon so I wanted to make his card a little special this year so I thought this challenge was perfect.

As a family we have been through a lot.  It was a little tough when my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  But he is kicking cancer butt and we are so proud of him.

I found the template for the box on Pinterest and I used an A4 sheet of kraft card for the base.
I then added little tabs inside to sick the stars to.

The stars are the framlits die from Stampin Up which I have definitely got my moneys worth from.  I just love them.

I had to add his age after all it is a very special birthday.  I then decorated the front flap of the box with some little die cut bunting.  I have now lost this little triangle die so its back to cutting them out by hand.

Paint The Rainbow

 Hello All
Well the weather has been totally rubbish here in France at the moment.  I want to start digging out those summer clothes and get my flip flops on but that's not happening.  Come on sun!!!

Anyway Lythans challenge at Daring Cardmakers is all about rainbows this week to cheer us all up.  Either feature a rainbow or use colours from the rainbow.

You don't have to use all the colours but they do need to be in the right order.

I made a little rainbow using gems.
Its really hard to make out as the background is white but it is embossed with stars.

The little sentiment is from Paper Sweeties and I added some glossy accents to the heart.

Have a great week!!

Sending Sweet Thoughts

Just a little post from me today to share this card I have made for the Challenge over at Paper Sweeties.

Below is the very pretty image to use as inspiration for your creation.

I was inspired by the colours and also the tea party theme.

I used some papers from Dovecraft called Cupcake Boutique and also the tea party set of dies from Docrafts.

I have added a few liquid pearls to the teapot and cups and finished with a stamped sentiment from Paper Sweeties Sending Sweet Thoughts.

May Elemental Inspiration

Where did last month go?  Its finally nice to see the weather improving and we did see a glimmer of summer for a brief moment.

I hope this weeks challenge from Daring Cardmakers will brighten up your day.

As its the beginning of the month its Elemental Inspiration challenge time.

Here is the beautiful photo to get you all inspired.

Remember you need to pick at least three elements.

Here is what I came up with.

The elements that I picked were the colours, leaves and I used an aperture to represent the arch way.

The sentiment is a stamp from Paper Sweeties.  The paper inside the aperture is from Prima and I made the little flowers using the Spellbinder rose creation die and then added some seed beads to the centres.

Have a great week!!

Here is my card.

I punched out loads of little snowflakes to decorate the tree to make the ombre colours and the bottom row are in blue glitter.

So that's another Christmas card added to my card box.
