Harvest Home

Good morning Crafters.

These last few weeks have flown by.  I think its because my daughter now has every Wednesday off school here in France which makes the week super short.  Especially after we have filled the day with shopping, swimming and having treats.

As Friday has come around fast again its challenge time with the Daring Cardmakers.

This weeks theme is hosted by the lovely Shabneez who has picked:

Harvest Home

Shabneez would like to see fruit,  vegetables, wheat etc... on your creations as its autumn and now the crops are getting harvested.

I had to have a good think for this one.  I only own a lemon die and lemons remind me of summer so that was no good.

So I came up with this:

I made a pumpkin using some small die cut ovals.

I thought it turned out really well.  I just added a little bit of ink to the edges of each oval.

For the background I used an embossing folder from Stampin Up called Pinewood Planks.  I added a little bit of ink to bring out the wood effects more. It also gives it a bit of a rustic feel.

I then used the Wood Words Stamp and Die set to create the little tag and also the flower background.

To finish I added some lovely green gingham ribbon.

Please stop by the Design Team Blogs over at Daring Cardmakers for more lovely inspiration.

Have a lovely weekend.

World Coffee Day

Hello Crafters.
I am popping by today with a little post as its World Coffee Day this weekend.  What a good excuse to get the coffee themed craft items out and drink lots of coffee.  The only thing that's missing is the chocolate.
So as I was inspired by a day to celebrate coffee and the lovely picture over at Paper Sweeties I thought I would make this little card.

I started with a piece of white card stock which I embossed with the folder from Spellbinders called Picnic by Tammy Tutterow.  I then added a little bit of ink called tea dye by Tim Holtz just to high light the embossed areas.

I then added a couple of strips of paper from a Christmas set by First Edition and Trimcraft.
The stamped greeting is from a set at Paper Sweeties called Coffee, Yes Please.

I then used the Shapeabilities Coffee Break die from Seth Apter at Spellbinders which I cut from kraft card stock.

I then added two cute little takeaway coffee cups using the Die D-Lites Hipster One set from Spellbinders.  I did a little bit of paper piecing on the cups and die cut the little sleeve that comes in the set.

Please stop by the Spellbinders website for more details about the dies used by clicking the above product links.

Have a great day and I am now off for a cup of coffee.

Have a great day.

Monthly Die Cutting Clubs and My Creation

Hello Crafters.
I am back with another Spellblogger post from Spellbinders.  So following on from yesterdays post where I showed you the contents of the box, today I have a couple of projects to share.
First is a little card I have made using The Club Kit of the Month for June.

I started by taking one of the card blanks that's in the kit and adding a piece of the textured plain card stock in the light pink.  I then trimmed a piece of the patterned paper to fit my card.

There were so many embellishments to choose from in the set so I selected a few of my favourites.  A photo frame and a large flower which has some glitter already added to it.
I then added one of the large gold 3d stickers which says "hello" and one of the smaller transparent stickers that say "fabulous".  To finished I added a few of the gems and added some of the dark pink twine.
I tried to add a bit of everything to the card from the kit but realised I hadn't used any of the dies.
So I decided to make a box using some of the left over pink textured card.

I trimmed the card to measure 6"x 8.5".  I scored on the long side at 2", 4", 6" and 8".  Then on the short side at 2".  I then folded all the score lines and on the long side which will be the bottom I snipped up in the score lines to the 2" mark, this then created the base.

Before I glued my box together I added a small piece of the pattern paper to the front and I die cut one of the little hexagons to make a tag.  I then added a sticker to the tag and punched a few holes to close the bag. Just slightly pinch your bag shut at the top to attach your ribbon or twine.  I finished the bag with a few gems and a little 3d gold sticker.

I love a craft product that you get your moneys worth from and these kits you do.
Not only is there enough supplies to make ten cards but you could easily make some little treat boxes.  I think you could get more than 10 cards out of the kit just by including your own card blanks.
This kit is ideal if you are just starting out as a crafter.  A piece of designer paper, a topper and a greeting and you have made some lovely cards for your friends and family.
Don't forget to check of the monthly club kit subscriptions HERE.
There is also a 15% discount off your first months subscription using code CLUB15.

Monthly Die Cutting Clubs

Hello Crafters.

I have a rather different post today from Spellbloggers at Spellbinders.   I am showing you all the lovely contents of one of the monthly kits.

The Spellbinders Monthly Membership Clubs (formerly known as Maker's Mart) are designed for die cutting aficionados, handmade card makers, crafty DIY’ers, and beginners alike. Each month members will receive expertly designed dies or kits; used to create projects, cards, and more. Spellbinders provide the inspiration, but you’re the maker/designer/creator.

At the moment there is a special offer on.  There is 15% off your first kit.

There are several types of club kits your can choose from.

Take a look HERE and see which kit appeals to you as a crafter.

The kits are then sent out on monthly basis.

I was very curious about the kits so I purchased an earlier club kit which are also available to buy.

Here is Junes Club Kit.
They come to you in these lovely boxes which you can keep after to store your projects in or other items.

I have took a few photos of the contents of the box.

As the kit had fun and sparkle in the title I knew I had to have it.

Inside you will find a variety of craft items in order to create 10 cards.

Look at all these pretty things.  There are foiled stickers, gems, ribbon and toppers.

The Club Kit also comes with its own set of dies.

Also included is a selection of designer papers.  Some patterned, some plain with a textured finish and a gold mirror sheet of card.  Such lovely quality as well.

Also included are your card blanks and envelopes, some foam squares and sticky dots and an inspiration sheet.  All you need is perhaps some wet glue, a paper trimmer and your own dash inspiration.

I can't wait to share the Club Kit with some of my crafty friends. I am sure we will have lots of fun.

I now wish I had bought two, one to share and one to keep.

Thanks for stopping by and please take a peek tomorrow as I will have a project to show you using this kit.

Queen For A Day

Hello Crafters.

Well where did the week go?  We have registered our little boy at school and he starts in a few weeks we just have to get this potty thing mastered.  He is doing great though.

As the week has gone super fast its challenge time at Daring Cardmakers.

The lovely Svenja is hosting the challenge this week and its called

Queen For A Day

Sept 22nd was Anne of Cleves' birthday (4th wife and survivor of Henry VIIIthe ), so make a royalty-themed card (yes, fairy queens and frog princes are also allowed)

My card is a little fairy queen in training.  I think that's perhaps why she is without her wings.
She does wear a pretty crown made from die cut stars.

The image is from a set by Kanban that I have had in my stash for years and it came with lots of cupcakes.  I coloured her with promakers and added some die cut stars to make a little crown for her.

The castle in the background which I cut from silver glitter card is from Spellbinders called Shapeabilities Inspire Sandcastle Inn.

I cut the castle out again in gold mirror card and added back in some of the windows and the door.

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Spooky Treats

Hello Crafters.

Autumn has certainly arrived here.  The morning air is now crisp and a lot cooler.

Usually we have beautiful Septembers here in France but not sure what happened this year.  So far its been very wet.

I have another Halloween project to share with you today.  The last in my little series showing you the fabulous selection of Halloween dies from Spellbinders.

I made these little treat bags using the Bag N Tag It  from Debi Adams at Spellbinders.

I cut two of the panels out and glued them together to make the bag shape.

I then went on to decorate the front using the Spider Web Card Front which I then trimmed down to fit the front of the treat bag.

I then cut the word Spooky and added a little bat from the Shapeabilities Spooky Tree Set.

A quick and easy little treat bag to put together and just the right size for some sweets for your little Trick or Treaters.

I hope you enjoyed my little Halloween showcase of all these beautiful dies.

Thanks for stopping by today and please stop by the Spellbinders Website for more details about the dies I have used.

I love Coffee

Hello again.

I have just had my morning coffee and have been inspired by the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to make this card.

There are lots of great prizes to be won so I hope you will join in too.
To make my card I used the Die D-Lites Hipster One Set from Spellbinders.

I cut out two of the takeaway coffee cups in white cardstock and two sleeves from kraft card and inked slightly around the edge.

I then cut out the little seal and stamped Happy Birthday inside.

For the background I used an embossing folder from Spellbinders called Horse Hair by Tammy Tutterow,

To the embossed background I added a little bit of gold gliding wax, a thin strip of coffee bean designer paper and some gold glitter tape.

A clean and simple card great for anyone to receive that loves Coffee.

Please stop by the Spellbinders Website for more details about the products I have used and have a great day.

Halloween Banner

Hello everyone.

Here I am with another Halloween project post.

This time I have made my own Halloween banner.  Normally I have a banner that I have downloaded from the internet and printed out but this year I decided to make one.

Spellbinders made it easy with their fabulous choice of Halloween dies.

Check out the full range HERE.

For my other Halloween posts please click the links below.

I used three different dies to create my banner.

I created alternate panels using the Spider Web Card Front and the Spooky Tree die.

For each tree and witch I created a drop shadow to add a little interest.  I had to include bit of sparkle somewhere so using glitter card and mirror card was just the thing.

For the background of the spooky tree panels I used the Blistered Embossing Folder By Tammy Tutterow.

I also included the Witch On Broom Die to the panels with the Spider Web Card Front.

For each panel I created a little moon and just inked up one side in orange.

You can make your banner longer by adding extra panels if needed.

Thanks for stopping by today.

4 of Something

Hi All.

Its my turn to host the challenge from the Daring Cardmakers this week.

I celebrate the big 40 yesterday and today is our wedding anniversary so this weeks challenge is to put 4 of something on your card.

Lets forgot the zero as I intend on staying 39 for every birthday from now on.

So you could include 4 designer papers, 4 embellishments, the number 4 or like me I used 4 sentiments all starting with the letter H.  I also included 4 emojis as my daughter loves them.

For the emojis I used a die from Spellbinders called Die D-Lites Emojis etched die.

It comes in a set of 5 little faces so you can create them your self.

My daughter loves this set so I cut out some extra ones with her help so she could use them as well.
I cut the little faces from yellow glitter card.

To create my four sentiments I used two set of dies from Spellbinders.
I just cut these from plain black card stock.

The daughter loves this card so much that she has asked for an emoji themed party but as her birthday isn't until April I think I have plenty of time to create something.

For full details about the dies I have used please check out the website at Spellbinders.

Thanks for stopping by and please check out the Design Team Blogs at Daring Cardmakers to see how they used 4 of something.

Halloween Bird Cage

Hello Bloggers and Crafters.

Today I am sharing with you another book folded project but this time for Halloween.

I am following on from last weeks Spellblogger project to show you the Halloween dies from Spellbinders.

Check out last weeks Halloween post HERE.

This time I wanted to create something you could decorate your table with or place on a shelf.

I have a bird cage on my book shelf decorated in flowers so I am going to replace it with this one ready for Halloween.

My daughter loves Halloween and I can't wait to see her dressed up and my little one as well.

I create my bird cage first and this time I inked up the edges of each page with some black ink.  I then added some orange/mustard coloured lace.

The tree is a die called Spooky Tree from Spellbinders.  I cut this out twice.  One from black cardstock and one from copper mirror card.  I then glued them together but created a drop shadow effect.  I then glued this to the front of the bird cage.

I then added other die cut trees without the drop shadow and placed them around the sides.

Next I cut lots of bats out and placed these all over the bird cage.  The set comes with a little bat and the word SPOOKY.

Thanks for stopping by and come back next week for more Halloween inspiration from Spellbinders.

For full details about the dies I have used please check out Spellbinders Website.

Have a great day.
