Daring Cardmakers - A Bunch Of......

Hello everyone and I hope you had a lovely week.  We celebrated my daughters birthday this week so we have had a busy one and its still the school holidays here in France.

For this weeks challenge at the Daring Cardmakers Joanne is our lovely host and would like to feature something that comes in bunches.  I first thought of flowers but then decided to look deeper into my craft stash.

I made a card with a bunch of carrots and even managed to feature the word bunch on my project.

I used a set that I earned for free during sale a bration over at Stampin Up.

Daring Cardmakers - Birds Of A Feather

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Nat is our lovely host this week and would like to see feathers on your projects.

I thought about using some bird stamps and dies but then I thought of looking outside the box a little.

I knew I had a stamp set that continued an quill and an ink well so I decided to use that.

I have used the retired World Of Good stamp and die bundle to create the card.
I also wanted to create a rainbow of feathers on my card so I used a long slim card base so they would all fit on.

I also created my own background using the globe stamps and some of the dies.

Have a lovely weekend.

Daring Cardmakers - Bloom and Grow

 Hello everyone.

I am hosting another challenge this week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog.  This time the theme is bloom and grow.  As the weather is now getting warmer and we are hoping to spend more time outside, perhaps in our gardens, I would love to see what you plan on growing this year.

Share a project featuring flowers or plants that you want to see in your own garden or even in the house.

I have used the gorgeous Pansy Patch bundle for the flowers on the card.  My mother in law tends to put pansies in her window boxes at the front of the house.  My mum in law is a keen gardener and when the sun is shining she will be outside planting something or weeding.  Me on the other hand is not a gardener and plants struggle in my care.  This is why I like to see flowers on my projects.

I have used a piece of retired designer series paper on the base of the card in black and white as it really makes the flowers pop off the card.  I then added a little metal bee embellishment.

Have a lovely weekend.

Friends Are Like Seashells - retiring product

Hello everyone and I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

I wanted to stop by with a project that uses the retiring and discounted friends are like seashells set.  This set has a crazy low price and is ideal for all your summer themed projects.

I have also used the by the bay papers to create the sky/sea as I thought they just worked so perfectly together.  My card could either be on the beach or under water.

The by the bay designer series paper is just stunning.  You need to see it in real life as the catalogue and website do not do it justice.  The papers have the most gorgeous glossy/shimmery/foil accents.  You will need to buy two packets, one to use and one to just admire.

I have added a few seashells and a little seaweed.

There is a matching embossing folder but it appears now its sold out.

Daring Cardmakers - April Elemental Inspiration

Hello everyone and welcome to another weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Its my turn to host this weeks challenge.  Its an elemental inspiration challenge as its the beginning of the month.  I have picked the image below and you need to pick at least 3 elements from the picture to be used on your cards.

My daughter is into cottage core/fair grunge at the moment and wanted a birthday party along the same theme.  I am in desperate need of inspiration so I am hoping my challenge will help.

I have picked the colours, foliage, mushrooms, wooden number and woodgrain.

I had to do some searching to find a mushroom die and thankfully I found one I liked in a shop called Action.  Actually my daughter found it for me and it was a perfect size.

I have also made my daughter a fairy lantern and a banner using the large mushroom.

I have bought some fake moss and a wood slice to display her cake/cupcakes on.  I am not really sure what else I could include so if you have any ideas please leave some in the comments.

When my children have a birthday I always love to personalise their cards, either with their names or ages.

I better get in gear and start creating some little party favours for her friends which I hope to include into the party décor.  I better get my thinking cap on.  I have bought some lady bird shaped chocolate so I hope to make a box for them.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend and I would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter.

Last Chance Products - Cup Of Tea

 Hello everyone.

As the last chance sale is under way I thought I would share with you some projects that I haven't blogged yet.  I usually end up with lots of projects that I do not get around to blogging and then the item retires or is on sale.  So I thought today I would showcase some more ideas.

I have 4 projects to share using the cup of tea bundle and matching papers.  I will link the products at the bottom of the blog post.

I made two cards.  One of them is a shaker card.  I made the shaker part from the aperture of the tea cup and the other one is a lovely cup of lemon tea.

The next two projects hold tea bags and a sachet of coffee.  I know the set says cup of tea but I really do like to take my coffee in a big cup.
