Clean and Simple

Its Sharon's turn this weeks to host the dare at Daring Card Makers.

This weeks dare is all about Clean and Simple.  I have chosen to go with Christmas as I find this a little easier as I know that I need to put less on my cards as they need to be posted to the UK.

I had a play with some of the new Do Crafts papers and dies that are due for release in September.

I still had to add some ribbon and one of these cute little jingle bells.

I think I am starting to feel the Christmas spirit as I have posted a few festive cards this week!!

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge

Here is the second of my Christmas makes.

I have used Spellbinders snowflake die again to make the wreath and have added a few glittered stars and gems.  I always love gingham at Christmas so I added a little bow.  Again the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.  I really love this set of dies as you can make all kinds of designs with it and it has featured a lot in my Christmas makes.

For the centre of the wreath I have used a bit of vellum again with more stars.

This card is for the challenge at Merry Monday.

Sorry for the quick post but my daughter has now informed me its giraffes birthday and we are off to make cupcakes!

Festive Friday Challenge

As yesterday was such a wet day I thought I would get on with some more Christmas makes.  My daughter was playing at her Nanas so I thought it was a good time.  Little did I know that my daughter was making preparations for a little birthday party for her teddy.  So when she came home I had to clear the table so she could set up her party.

It was really cute and she made it all her self with a little help from Nana.

Here is what I made before teddy's party:

I used Spellbinders snowflake dies and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat called Nordic Christmas.

The card is for the challenge at Festive Friday. I just loved the colours and thought black for Christmas was very different.

Parties/Festivals

Where has the summer gone?  Its a bit chilly today.

This weeks dare over at Daring Cardmakers is all about parties and festivals.

I have made a couple of cards.  One with a birthday party theme and the other with a festival feel.

I have used papers and cupcake topper from Dovecraft called piece of cake.  I have also made a little pin wheel and added some party bunting.

For this card I have used papers from Papermania called Summer bloom.  The wellington boot stamp is also from the same collection.  I was thinking wellies and festivals equals mud.  I also included another pin wheel and more bunting with a little lady bird to remind us all that it is still summer.

The dies I have used are X Cut by Docrafts which can be found HERE.

Fantastic Elastic!!

Another week and another dare at Daring Cardmakers.  Its all about rubber bands!! I think a lot of you will have the same problem as I have with these little loom bands.  My hoover is looking rather colourful at the moment as I got fed up of picking them up.

My daughter loves making these little bracelet out of these tiny rubber bands.

So the dare this week is to use rubber bands, loom bands or even elastic on your cards.

My 5 year old caught me stealing her loom bands so I could make a little rainbow for my card.  I did say she could have the card in exchange.

The little stamped sentiment is from Paper Sweeties.
I have then added a few stars.

Beautiful Beach Huts

I can't believe its the second week already as Guest designer for Daring Card Makers.

This weeks dare is Beautiful Beach Huts.  So this week Daring Card Makers would like to see one or more beach huts on your card or even a beach hut shaped card.

Here is my card:

I had the perfect set of papers and images all from Pink Petticoat, which can be found HERE.

I also used some kraft paper which I thought looked a bit like sand and of course some holiday bunting.

Rainbows and Raindrops

Just a quick post today!!

I could not resist the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. Such a pretty inspiration photo.

I have used 3 different stamp sets for this card.  For the sentiment I have used Make Today Beautiful from Paper Sweeties and the stars and clouds are from stamp sets available from Annabelles Stamps.

I have kept the card simple with a little colour and added a few gems.

Have a great week!!

Festive Friday Challenge

I am getting through my Christmas cards thanks to Festive Friday.

Look at the very lovely inspiration photo for this weeks challenge:

For my card I have taken inspiration from the wreath.

I cut the wreath using two different sized scalloped circle dies then stamped and heat embossed the little snowflakes.  The stamp is from Annabelle Stamps called gifted swirls.  I have then added some little gems.

The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat called Nordic Christmas Sentiments.
To finish I had used a little gingham bow and a button.  I love using gingham at Christmas feels so festive.

Daring Card Makers

I have some exciting news to share I have been asked to guest design for Daring Cardmakers.  I am super excited to be sharing my work with a bunch of very talented people.

So for this weeks dare it is a colour combo from this weeks host Svenja.

Look at the gorgeous colours!!!

and here is my card:

I had a rummage through my craft stash to see what papers I had left to use before I went ahead and printed anything new off.

The image is from Pink Petticoat and I think the papers are too.  I coloured the image using promarkers and a little glitter.  I have also added some paper flowers with tiny seed beads inside.

Its my Mum and Dads wedding anniversary soon so I thought this would be perfect for that.

Check out what the lovely DT Team at Daring Cardmakers has made with this colour combo for some more inspiration.
