Daring Cardmakers - Secret Hideaway

Its Friday and challenge time over at Daring Cardmakers.

Our host this week is Joanne who would like you to create a card with a hidden element!

You might choose to use a camouflage/eclipse sentiment with die cut words or letters, add a pocket to your card and tuck something inside, use a flap to conceal a surprise image or sentiment... what can you come up with to create a secret hideaway?

I had a play with some Brusho Crystal Colours and created a camouflage sentiment.

This was very hard to photograph so I apologise if the photos seem dark as I had to turn the flash off so you could see the sentiment.

I started by sprinkling the brushos on to the paper and then spritzed with some water.  Once this was dry I used the wish sentiment die from the Broadway Birthday Bundle available from Stampin' Up to cut into the brusho background.

I then cut a few more layers of the word wish and glued these together but placing the coloured one on top.

I then glued the layered sentiment back into the space I created when I first made the die cut.

I then heat embossed the word "make a" and the little diamonds in gold to finish the card.

Have a lovely weekend.

Its Hard To Say Goodbye

I wonder how much more I can blog about this stamp set before its gone?

I love the Jar of Love and matching framelits and I have to keep squeezing in another project or 10 before the new catalogue arrives.

This time I paired it with the tin tile embossing folder using some gold foil card stock and I think it looks amazing.  I love this embossing folder.  This one is defiantly a must have for me along with the Pinewood Planks.

To make the card I took a piece of gold foil and used the tin tile embossing folder.  Just look at the details, its gorgeous.

I then started stamping the elements from the Jar of Love set I wanted for my jar to make a pretty arrangement of flowers.

I also used the wood words stamps set and matching dies as I wanted to create a little tag for the jar.

I also love the colour combination of pinks and blue with the beautiful gold.

Crafting Forever and a little bit of colouring.

Hello everyone.

I do occasionally like to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself.  I must admit I am not much of a colouring in person but I thought I would give it a go.

I have used the Crafting Forever stamp set, a set I think all crafters should own as the images and sentiments are just perfect.

I stamped several of the images randomly all over a piece of white card stock in black ink then I started to colour.  I may have gone out of the lines but I actually like the simple look of this card.

I have to admit I do love my Fiskars scissors and I did yell at my husband yesterday for using them to cut glued wallpaper so I had to colour in the handles to match.

I left a little room on the card to add a greeting and I finished with some beautiful sequins.

There are some beautiful new colours of sequins available in the new Annual catalogue and I love them.  I have started to use them on future projects and they are just so pretty.
