Pretty Little Flower Pots

What a horrible day.  My daughter has gone on her end of year school trip to a Chateau and I hope they manage to keep dry.
I have a card to share today which I hope will brighten your day.
Its for the challenge over at Just Us Girls and its photo week.

Here is my card.

I used a stamp set from Paper Sweeties called Make Today Beautiful and stamped the images onto pretty papers.  For the background I embossed some kraft card with a wood grain effect embossing folder from Stampin up.

I then added some sequins to the centre of the flowers and finished with a greeting which was a free download from Docrafts.

See you soon.

Book Folding

Hi everyone,

Today I am just sharing some more of my book folding projects.  These are ones that I made for a lovely lady that goes to a sewing class that I have started to attend on a Friday.  She is having a tea party for Cancer Research and wanted some items to sell.  Also made a couple for a local animal charity called Les Puces.  Here is a link to their facebook page - Les Puces

I made a selection of bird houses and bird cages in a variety of colours.  Some even had vintage lace which belonged to my Husbands Nana.

They are really easy to do as you only need to do two folds per page.

I found loads of great tutorials on the internet with step by step photos.

All the flowers are hand made using the Spellbinders Rose Creation die.  I use this die a lot if I am in need of flowers.  The centres of the flowers are filled with either seed beads, a gem or a sequin just to add a bit of sparkle.

Thanks for looking and have a lovely day!!

Hang out the flags

Hello everyone.  For a while now I have been wanting to try using washi tape on my cards.  I have never used it before and I love the choice of colours and patterns it comes in.

When I saw the challenge at City Crafter to use bunting I thought the tape would look great as little flags so I used my mini die bunting set to create this card.

I found this lovely striped tape and mixed it with a bit of gold glitter tape.

I used the bunting die to cut out the flag shape and used the negative space to create my card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day.

On Your Travels

Its challenge time over at Daring Cardmakers.

It's Kathy's turn this week, and to celebrate the start of the holiday season we have a  travel-themed challenge.

On Your Travels

You can take the theme wherever you like - modes of travel. suitcases, places you love, or would love to travel to - its up to you.  So whether you're heading off on a jaunt, day-dreaming about distant shores, or travelling no further than a deckchair in your garden, we'd love you to join in and share your journey with us.

This was the card I made for my Dad for Fathers Day and I picked little boats as he served in the Royal Navy and I love the blue and red together.

This is also the mode of transport I take every time I visit my family in England.

Have a great week.

Paper Sweeties

After buying the gorgeous papers from Authentique called Infused I had to make another yummy cake themed card.  The papers are just so pretty and slightly textured.

The little cupcake and sentiment are from Paper Sweeties called Sending Sweet Thoughts.

I also included some gold washi tape and a little die cut teapot and cup.  As tea and cake make a great pair.

This is another card for the challenge over at Paper Sweeties June Inspiration Challenge.

This time I was inspired by the stripes, spots, cupcakes and the colours.

Have a great day!!

Mans Best Friend

It's Friday and I can't believe how quick these last few weeks of term are going.  It will be the summer school holidays before I know it.  It's my daughters school fete on Sunday so I have a lot of cupcakes to make this weekend.  I hope you all have something nice planned.

Anyway to this weeks challenge at Daring Cardmakers  is all about MANS BEST FRIEND, whether that be furry, feathery, scaly or finned.

Here is my card.

The digi image is one from Pink Petticoat.  I have added a bit of colour using promarkers and a touch of glitter.  I have kept my card fairly simple and a tiny bit masculine as I am short of these in my card box.

I hope you will stop by the Design Team Blogs for more lovely inspiration.

Have a great week.

Lets go to the beach

Whilst browsing through my list of challenge blogs I came across City Crafter Challenge Blog and I notice they had the most beautiful inspiration picture for this weeks challenge so I thought I would give it ago as I have not taken part on this blog for such a long time.

I knew I had the perfect papers and I was itching to get them out and start to feel all summery.

The papers, sentiment and digital image are all from Pink Petticoat which sadly is no longer trading but I love them anyway.  Their blog is still up and running and you can check it out HERE.

I inked up the edges of the papers and topper and added a little bit of trim.

I think the sentiment sums up any trip to the beach.

Elemental Inspiration

Sorry everyone I completely forgot to publish this post.

The first Friday of the month is always elemental inspiration week at Daring Cardmakers.
This was the beautiful photo.

Here is my card.
You have to pick at least three elements to use on your card.

I picked the colours, circles, tulle and plant pots.

The flowers and plant pot are from a set from Paper Sweeties called Make Today Beautiful.

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers in gold and added some tulle behind the flowers.

Don't forget to stop by Daring Cardmakers every Friday for a new challenge.

Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge

What lovely weather here in France today.  I have spent a few hours in the garden with my little one.  He loves just running around and pointing at things, so sweet.

I thought today I would share a card I made for the challenge over at Paper Sweeties

Here is the lovely inspiration photo.

and my card.

I was inspired by the colours and the cupcakes.

For the cupcakes I used the Sending Sweet Thoughts stamp set from Paper Sweeties.  I paper pieced the cupcakes with coordinating paper and added some glitter.

The papers are from Authentique called infused and I finished with a few sequins.  I think sequins are my new bling and normally would add little gems but these are my favourites at the moment.

Enjoy the sunshine.
