Light A Candle

Its Kathy's turn to host this weeks challenge at Daring Cardmakers.  Kathy would like to see some candles on your card.  I love having candles lit in my home and there is a certain brand of candle that I love which I am hoping to get for Christmas.  I always have a stash in my house as last year we went without power for a few days and luckily the electric came back on for Christmas Day.  The house did feel very cosy.

Here is my card:

I could think of lots of ways to put a candle on my card.  From stamping to using the little birthday candles for cakes.  So I decided to use rolled paper.  The wicks for my candles came from the stems of the stars that I used in the bunting.  I then just added a little greeting.
Don't forget to stop by the Design Teams Blogs for more lovely inspiration.

  1. Hi Dawn,
    Wow! fabulous card.
I would love to know what papers you used as they are lush!!

    1. Thanks for the comment, the papers are from Pink Petticoat.
But I am afraid they are not available anymore but check out the website for more gorgeous papers to download.

  2. Lovely card and the candles are fabulous, Dawn. I bet that rolled paper is much easier to attach to a card than a real birthday candle ;-)

  3. Fab card, Dawn! I love the colours and I simply adore your hand-rolled candles - such a great idea :-)
