Animal Antics

Hello Everyone.

I am very sorry I missed sharing my card for last weeks Elemental Inspiration challenge at Daring Cardmakers.  We were without the internet so I will pop a few photos on this post at the end.

This weeks challenge at Daring Cardmakers is called Animal Antics.

Ruth our lovely host this week would like your creation to feature an animal.

I went for the easy option and I picked a cat.

I was doing some work experience recently at an animal charity shop near where I live so I made this card to say thank you.

I started with a square of white card stock and masked off the moon.  I then started ink blending using the blues for the sky first.  I then created a mask to create some small hill shapes and inked around this to make my background.

I then used some stamps by Indigoblu called Nature I and stamped the tree and the corn in black straight over my inked background.
For my little animal addition I used a die from Spellbinders called Die D-Lites Kitty Cats.  The die set comes in a set of three and each cat is in a different pose.

To finish the card I added some wink of stella to the moon and stamped a greeting onto some black card.

Also here are a few photos of my card from last weeks elemental inspiration challenge from Daring Cardmakers.

The elements that I picked were the colours, gold frames, hexagon and feathers.

I recently purchased this very cute peacock die from Craftelier.  Its a fabulous site and they deliver to France which is just fantastic as I can now get hold of all the brands I miss.

I also used a feather punch from Fiskars and some stitched dies from Stampin up.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely weekend.

xXx

  4. The cat is very sweet on a lovely background - but I'm entirely in love with your peacock-card, it's an awsome take on the theme!
