Botanical Butterfly

Hello everyone.

I hope you had a lovely weekend in all the beautiful sunshine.  We have great fun playing in the garden and getting it ready for spending lots of family time outside.

The sunshine really does help with the creativity and also receiving some lovely new dies from Spellbinders also helps.

I got to have a play with a beautiful butterfly die from the Flower Garden collection by Sharyn Sowell called Botanical Butterfly.

The butterfly wings have some really lovely detail on them.  I cut the butterfly from gold card stock.  I cut another wing without the detail from pink card stock and added this underneath so that you could see the detail better. I also glued the wing down just under the body to give to a bit of a flutter.

The little flowers I have used to embellish my card come from another Flower Garden set called Shapeabilities Tiny Shadow Box.  I have another project to share using this set coming soon.

I made my card clean and simple with a few soft colours.

The die is so pretty and you can either use one wing like I have or cut out two as the set comes with the body and antenna separate.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely week.

Please check out the full collection from Sharyn Sowell HERE.

xXx

  1. Lovely card Dawn, that paper in the background is so pretty. Where's it from? :)

    1. Thank you. The paper is from a 6x6 pad called blush by My Minds Eye. A very pretty pad with lots of gold accents. The perfect pad for weddings. x
