Daring Cardmakers - Bon Voyage

 Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Are you off on your travels this summer or perhaps you have already?  This weeks challenge is to create a card to wish someone a happy holiday and create a travel themed card.

I have used the Beautiful World stamp and die set from Stampin Up to create my card.  I have die cut the globe but I used some soft colours for the sea and land.  I have made my card very clean and simple.

I also used the compass stamp and dotted them around to break up the white space.  I then added the sentiment to wish you a fabulous adventure on your holiday.

Daring Cardmakers - Christmas In July

 Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

I am hosting the challenge this week and I am so excited about this one as I have been waiting all year to craft for Christmas.  

So lets get ready for the festive season and share your Christmas in July Projects.

As I was so excited I created two projects using the same die set.

I have used the Parcel and Post die set from Spellbinders along with the matching stamps.  I love that you can buy the Christmas add on die set that comes with all the festive elements.  You even get an envelope stamp and a small envelope die.  I did stick with the traditional red post box but as I live in France I thought it would be fun to make a yellow version in the future.

I then created a second card but this time I didn't use the post box just some of the festive elements and framed the sentiment.

I have seen lots of cards on Pinterest lately that have dark coloured backgrounds which I love, so I thought I would give that a go and used a colour called shaded spruce from Stampin Up.  Even the name of the card stock sounds festive.

For both cards I added a bit of interest by using embossing folders for the backgrounds and of course I added some sparkle.

Daring Cardmakers - July Elemental

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

As its the first Friday of July we have the monthly elemental inspiration challenge for you.  Just pick three elements from the image below that our lovely host Rizwana has selected.

This image has such a summery vibe and its perfect for the start of the school holidays here in France.

I picked the colours, drink (cocktails), ombre and texture.

I used a sheet of designer series paper that had an ombre effect but you can easily get the same effect with your inks.  I then put this through my Big Shot with a wood planks embossing folder.

I then used the Nothings Better Than stamp and die set from Stampin UP to create the cocktails.

The sentiment came from the Parcel and Post stamps from Spellbinders.  I then added a little bit of sparkle.
