Christmas Tea Bags

Good Morning.

I have been making things ready for my daughters Christmas school fair to raise funds for trips out etc..

I am always looking for ideas that are quick to make and that people can buy for a small amount.  So I decided to make more Tea Bag Bags but this time I have put apple and cinnamon tea in them.

To make these cute bags I used the Market Fresh Bag N Tag It die from Spellbinders and Debi Adams.

For each bag you need to cut out two parts and glue them together.

I used different patterned designer paper or you can use whatever you have in your own stash.

Each bag fits 3 tea bags in very nicely.

I decorated the front of each bag with a Christmas greeting using the Die D-Lies Ho Ho Ho Holiday Set from Spellbinders.

I kept the decoration to a minimum but you can dress yours up with more embellishments if you wish.

I then finished each bag with some ribbon and a cute jingle bell.

I love adding these to Christmas projects.

Please check out the website over at Spellbinders for more details about the dies I have used on todays project.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely day.

Tim Holtz Tag Class

Hello Crafters.

I just wanted to share with you what I recently made at a tag making class.  This is something that I never really got into making but now I love it.

We all got inky and messy and I learnt lots of new techniques.  The only problem is I hardly own any of the products we used so now I fear I made need a bank loan as we used lots of lovely dies etc..

The lovely Karen from Kerudoc Creation  held the workshop and I had a French lesson as well.  It was fantastic.

Here is what I made using Tim Holtz dies, inks and stamps.

I had a great time and didn't realise with the right tuition and fabulous products you could create something as lovely as these tags.  I always looked at this style of paper crafting and thought it was so difficult.  I am so glad I went and I am really looking forward to the next workshop.

Please check out Karen's website HERE and also FACEBOOK.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day.

Trim The Tree

Good Morning.

Its Friday and challenge time at Daring Cardmakers.

Hope our little festive countdown is helping you get ahead with your Christmas creations and providing you with lots of ideas.

This weeks challenge is called

TRIM THE TREE

We would like to see a forest of trees, perhaps just one or two, a Christmas tree or any other type of tree on your card.

I created a forest.

I treated myself to this lovely set from Stampin Up called Carols Of Christmas.
I started with a square of white card stock and created my background using different shades of blue ink blended together to create the sky.

I then die cut the moon and stars and places some silver glitter card behind.

I then die cut the trees from white and silver card stock and glued them together slightly off set to create a drop shadow.  I seem to be doing this a lot lately but I love it.

I then cut out some of the cute reindeer from kraft card stock and added them to the front.

I haven't added a greeting as I thought it would also be good for perhaps a winter birthday.  But to be honest I was scared of messing it up after I created the background.

I hope you can stop by the Design Team blogs at Daring Cardmakers for more lovely inspiration.

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by.

xXx

Bubbly Funk Through The Letter Box

Hello Crafters.

I am back to Christmas crafting.  I knew I wouldn't last long and with the contents of Bubbly Funk Through The Letterbox its hard not to get back into Christmas mode.  The kit is full of lovely pieces to add to your festive projects.

Here is this weeks idea.

Its not Christmas without a shaker card.  I love making these.  For this one I used the bag of sequins and beads that comes in the kit.

I began by taking a square of white card and cutting an aperture in the front and sticking a piece of plastic underneath to keep your sequins inside.  Instead of using foam squares or tape I cut 5 or 6 square frames and glued them to the back.  This gives you enough depth to allow your sequins to shake.  I created the back ground by blending a few shades of ink together and created the snow drifts using a torn piece of cardstock and inked just lightly over the edge.  I then stamped my tree image in black.

I also added one of the die cut sentiments from the kit to the front of the card.

To finish I added some twine and one of these cute white jingle bells which is also found in the kit.  The little bells just add that extra bit of Christmas to your card.  When you shake the card for the sequins to move the bell will ring.

Thanks for stopping by and please check out the Bubbly Funk website and blog for more details on how to order your kit and more great ideas from the Design Team.

Have a lovely day.

Octobers Card Kit from Spellbinders

Hello all, again.

I am excited about this next creation so I have another post for you today.

I recently ordered the Octobers card kit from Spellbinders.  Its just so lovely and has a bit of galaxy theme running through it so I just had to share the club kit with you.

When the kit arrives in the post its presented in this very lovely box.

Inside there are lots of lovely card stock.  Some patterned, some with a linen effect and a sheet of gold card stock.

There are also all these toppers and embellishments.  They range from stickers, tassels, brads, toppers made from plastic and card board and some bling.

You also get this wonderful set of dies and some very pretty ribbon.

And finally 10 card blanks with envelopes, foam squares and sticky dots.
All you need to add is imagination, scissor and wet glue if you prefer.

So here is the card I made with the kit.  There is a beautiful sheet of designer paper that looks like its been water coloured in shades of purple and this very lovely green so I had to use this one first.

I cut a piece of the mint green card stock to fit my card blank then cut the designer paper slightly smaller to leave a little border and glued this down.

I then used some of the dies to create the focal point of my card and added one of the card embellishment toppers.

I then finished with a few die cut stars in the corners and added some of the enamel dots that came in the kit.

There are enough supplies in the kit to make 10 cards and probably more.  Another lovely kit from Spellbinders.

I hope to make my little boys birthday card and party bunting with this kit so more creations will be posted soon.

I also created this card using the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Spellbinders website for more details about the kit and how to subscribe to the club to receive kits like this on a monthly basis.

Happy Crafting.

Bee-you-tiful Bugs

Morning All.

I thought I would step away from the Christmas crafting for todays post and create something bright to cheer is all up.

This time of year can get fairly depressing as the nights draw in and the weather changes but at least Christmas is just around the corner with all its sparkle.

For this card I used this cute little bee die called Die D-Lies Flying Bugs.  It comes in a set of three dies with a bee, butterfly and a dragon fly.

I started with a square of white card stock and used a stencil that had a sort of honey comb pattern on it and inked through it in random places with orange an ink pad.

I then stamped the little stars in black over the top once the ink had dried.

I cut of three bees in gold card stock then another three in black card stock using my Spellbinders Platinum machine and I then ran them back through to get the embossed detail.  I glued them to each other slightly off set to create a shadow.

I then used a stamp set I got free in a magazine for the sentiment and the little dotty line trailing behind each bee.

I think this is only the second time I have used a stencil on a card and it was fun creating your own backgrounds with it.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a BEE-YOU-TIFUL day.

Bags or Gift Boxes

Morning Everyone.

Have you done anything nice this week?  I have had my first proper French lesson.  I really enjoyed it.  But I have a long road ahead of me and one day it might all suddenly click.  What I learnt was very similar to what my daughter is learning at school so hopefully we will be able to help each other.

So todays craft project is this very cute gift bag.

The challenge this week at Daring Cardmakers is to make or decorate a gift bag or box.

I didn't read the description properly and I thought I had cheated as I bought the bag as it was such a bargain at 30 cents from my local craft shop.  But I haven't as you can decorate a bag or box.

For this project I used a selection of dies and some washi tape.

I used the Die D-Lies Candy Cane die from the Spellbinders 2017 holiday collection.  I cut this from mirror card and glitter card and glued them to the front of the bag.  Next I used Die D-Lites Ho Ho Ho from the Spellbinders 2017 holiday collection.  I cut this from red mirror card stock.  I also added a couple of pieces of washi tape.

A very cheap and quick alternative to buying an expensive gift bag for your presents.

Here is another way to dress your bag up using the same die set as before from Spellbinders but this time I used all of the sentiments and created a tree shape.

The little silver bow is from the Die D-Lies Candy Cane Set and the star is from the set called Lets Party Shining Star.  I just used the largest star from the set.

I had so much fun making this project that I will have to go out and buy more bags so that I can make them for the rest of my family.

Please stop by the Design Team Blogs over at Daring Cardmakers for more lovely inspiration and we can't wait to see what you create.

Pretty Packages

Hello everyone.

I have a lovely project to share with you today using some of the contents from Novembers Through The Letter Box from Bubbly Funk.

The contents of the box is all very festive and in lots of blue colours.  Perfect for your adding to your Christmas craft stash.

So as Kathy one of our Design Team members made a fabulous job recycling the box that the contents comes in I thought I would have a play with all the lovely paper bags in the kit.

To try and cut down on waste at Bubbly Funk paper bags are used and they are just to pretty to throw away.

I used some of the ribbon and pom pom trim and added this to the bottom of the bag.  I then folded the bag over at the top and punched a couple of holes and threaded some twin through to close the bag.

I then added one of the scalloped edge circles and a lovely snowflake charm which are also in the kit.

I finished my project by adding some of the gorgeous beads for a bit of sparkle.

The bags are a lovely size for giving a small present.

Please stop by the Bubbly Funk Blog for more stunning ideas using the kit or please check out the SHOP for details on how to order your monthly kit.  Its a great addition to your crafty stash and works for all types of craft from paper craft, mix media and sewing.

Have Fun.
