December Elemental Inspiration

Hello Crafters and hello December.

My kids were super excited to be finally opening the doors on their advent calendars.  But all I can think about is that I am no where near ready for Christmas.  I still have lots of shopping to do.  I would love to be one of the Mums I see on Facebook that tell you they have all their shopping finished, all wrapped and the tree is up.

Anyway at least I have all made cards made with the help of this weeks elemental inspiration picture from Daring Cardmakers.

Remember you need to choose at least three elements from the above picture.

For my card I picked the words "love", trees and stars.

I created a snowy scene by blending a few inks and creating a few snow drifts.  I have made a few cards like this and I just love creating a winter wonderland.

I used the stamp set from Stampin Up called Lovely As a Tree.  I just masked off the tree trunk so it look liked the trees were in deep snow.  I then added wink of Stella to the trees but you can't tell from the photo.  Its makes a very subtle shimmer on your card.

The greeting stamp is from Spellbinders called Merry Christmas which comes in a set of two.
The little stars are also from Spellbinders called Die D-Lies Lets Party Shinning Star.

I then added a small strip of patterned paper.  A clean and simple card from me today.

Please stop by the Design Team Blogs over at Daring Cardmakers for more lovely inspiration.

Have a lovely weekend.

xXx

  2. Your winter wonderland background is fabulous! Great card. As long as the advent calendars for your kids are ready, everything is fine until the 24th :-)
