Daring Cardmakers - August Elemental Inspiration

WOW, I can't believe its August.

My daughter is currently having a little holiday in the UK with her grandparents and catching up with family.  She is having a great time and went to CarFest, her first music festival and loved it.

Well as summer is in full swing we have a fantastic Elemental Inspiration image for you to work with this week from the Daring Cardmakers.

Kathy our host picked this stunning image and you need to include three elements on your card.

For my card I picked the sea, colours and rectangles.

I used this gorgeous set from Stampin' Up! called Sailing Home.

I started with a piece of white card stock and embossed the background using an embossing folder called High Seas.

Next I die cut a rectangle and inked this up to look like the sea and sky but I wanted it to match the colours in one of the panels in the inspiration photo.

I then stamped and die cut the boat and lighthouse and add a little colour using an aqua painter and a little ink.

I stamped the birds to the background and added another die cut rectangle with a sentiment to finish.

A great card for the men and look no bling.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check out the gorgeous inspiration from the Design Team over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.

Have a great weekend.

  1. Great take on the inspiration, this has a lovely calm feel about it! My friends went to CarFest with their kids as well - came back very wet and muddy! Glad your daughter enjoyed it!
