With a Flourish

Hello Everyone and welcome to another weekly challenge from Daring Cardmakers.

This week our lovely host is Kathy who would like to see a flourish or a swirl on your cards.

I made these very pretty cards using the Timeless Textures and the Jar of Love stamp sets both are from Stampin' Up!

I just had a little play and tried to use a few of the stamps from the set to create the background and then I added a few of the little stamped flowers from the Jar Of Love set.

I loved the card so I made another in a different colour.  Its so delicate looking and lovely way to say thank you.

For both cards I used a selection of ink from the Subtles Classic Stampin' Pad collection.

I finished my card with a few sequins.  I felt it needed a little bit of bling and I love my bling.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check out the Design Team over at Daring Cardmakers to see how they used a flourish or a swirl.

Have a lovely weekend.

More Pretty Christmas Bulb Builder Punch Flowers

Good morning.

I am sharing more pretty flowers made with the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch from Stampin' Up!

Its very similar to the previous card I made but I included a bit of drying embossing with the Pine Wood Planks embossing folder which is one of my favourites and one I use often.

To make the card I used the Pine Wood Planks embossing folder on a square of white card and adhered this to a card blank.

Next I created the flower by punch out several bulbs and inking around the edges in pink ink.  I then curled the petals/bulbs around a pencil to give them some shape.  I then glued them to the edge of a small die cut circle and added a little punch circle to the centre but you could add gems are beads.

I then cut a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Die set and added some stamping using the large flower stamp from the Wood Words Stamp Set.  I also die cut a tiny tag using the Wood Crate Framelits die set and stamped the sentiment using the Wood Words stamp set.

Next I stamped and cut out some foliage using the Jar of Love Stamp and die set. I used So Saffron, Soft Seam Foam and Pear Pizzazz ink, I love this combination against the white.

Autumnal Wreath

Good Morning.

I hope you all had a great weekend.  For us it went super fast.  It was a mixture of grocery shopping, clothes shopping for my eldest and lunch out.  I think the children enjoyed themselves but I didn't have much time for crafting.

The card I made was quick and easy.  I also thought it fit the season as I used some autumnal colours.

To make the wreath card I cut a circle aperture into a square of white card stock.  I then popped the circle back in as this helped me to line up my stamping better.

I then used the stamp set called Timeless Textures and the little flower from the Jar of Love set.  I started with the flourish stamp and stamped this around the edge then filled in the gaps with the other stamps.

Next I added some kraft coloured card behind and cut out a smaller circle to fit the aperture using the stitched shapes framelit dies and added a little greeting from the Broadway Birthday set.

Beads

Hello everyone and happy Friday.

I hope you have all had a lovely week and its time to start the weekend with a lovely challenge from Daring Cardmakers and our host Miri.

Miri would like to see beads used on your creations this week.

The Design Team have come up with some really creative uses but I stuck to my favourite style when using beads.

I have made a shaker card.

I thought the beads looked like those pretty decorative stones you can buy to put in a vase of flowers.

To make my card I used my trusted method of cutting several frames using the Jar Of Love stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I had to cut out about 6 layers for this card as the beads were a little thicker than sequins.

I also created a pretty background using the Timeless Textures stamp set also from Stampin' Up!

I didn't add a sentiment to my card as I thought this card would be perfect for lots of occasions.  I had to add a little sparkle as well so I included some gold heat embossing and a few sequins.

The beads and sequins I used came from the Hooked craft box available from Bubbly Funk.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check out the lovely creations from the Design Team over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.

Light Bulb Punch Flowers

Hello everyone.

When I am buying craft supplies I love it when you find another use for it.  Perhaps a Christmas stamp set you can use for a birthday or in this case a light bulb punch you can make it into flowers.

Let me fill you in on  how you can turn a Christmas light bulb into a flower.

To make the flower I punched out several bulbs using the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch from Stampin' Up!

I lightly inked up the edges using Petal Pink and curled them around a pencil to give them a little shape.

Next I glued them all to a die cut circle and added a little punched circle to the centre but you could easily add gems or beads.

I made this one into a pretty daisy.

I then decided to use the Timeless Textures stamp set to create the background which I stamped using Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and So Saffron inks.

I then stamped a little greeting using the Wood Words stamp set.

Tin Tile Christmas

Hello everyone.

I hope you had a great weekend.  I spent mine celebrating my birthday and wedding anniversary.  My husband and I had a lovely meal together.  We visit the same restaurant every year as its the place where my husband had his last meal before getting married.

The night before our wedding I went to another restaurant with my family but as a couple we prefer the same one and they make fantastic pizza.

I recently received the gorgeous Tin Tile embossing folder from Stampin' Up!  I love it.
The detail is just amazing.

Its a Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which means it has lots of lovely dimension with different layers of embossing.  You will find that these are a lot thicker than regular embossing folders but work great in most die cutting machines.

I decided to mix a little new Christmas with a little from the annual catalogue.

I started with a piece of kraft card stock and placed this through my die cutting machine with the tin tile embossing folder.

Next I very lightly pressed my versamark ink pad all over the surface.  I added some gold embossing powder and heat set this.

Next I cut an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Die Set and added the sentiment from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.

I added this to my card using some foam squares.

I then cut the trees and the very cute deer using the Card Front Builder framelits dies from last years Christmas catalogue but you can easily do this with any of the tree dies now available and added these also using foam squares.

The card came together very quickly and I just love the embossing folder.  Its a great addition to your stash as you can use it for all kinds of occasions.
