You Light Up my Life - Tea Light Box

Hello Everyone.

Today I have a cute little box to share with you.

I had been browsing the internet in search of a box to hold 4 tea lights and I found the lovely Linda Parker.  Check out her blog HERE.

Linda had made the most lovely box and I just needed to make it.

You can check our her fabulous tutorial over on U Tube.

I decorated the top of the box using Jar Of Love set of stamps along with the matching die set called Everyday Jars.

I thought the sentiment was appropriate as the box contains some tea lights.

I had so much fun making this little box and the Simply Scored made it so easy.

I use the Simply Scored for all my bag and box making and its definitely an essential crafting tool.

Oh Man!

Its Friday!!!

I hope you have something nice planned for the weekend.

My daughter has been very poorly over the school holidays so we haven't done much so I am hoping to at the weekend.

Here is this weeks card for the challenge over at Daring Cardmakers.

The challenge is to make a male card.

This is something I struggle with every time.

I decided to play safe and picked beer and a BBQ.

I was asked to make a male birthday card recently and I thought this combination was perfect.

I used a die cut BBQ and bottles and added a strip of patterned paper down the side.

The BBQ was from a set from Spellbinders.  You also get the little bottle and some cooking utensils.

I kept the card simple which was hard for me and look, no sequins or bling.

I did use mirror card so I got a little bit of shine on my creation.

Please stop by the blog over at Daring Cardmakers and check out the Design Team cards.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join in the fun.

Have a great weekend.

Dream Its Your Birthday

Hello crafters.

I have a card to share to day that was created for a special birthday.

I made this one very girlie with glitter.

I started with the background first and I used timeless textures for this using smoky slate and blushing bride.

I then cut out the elements I needed for the dream catcher using matching card stock.

I am a big fan of layering die cuts.  So for the word "dream" I cut out 4 layers in white card stock and glued those together.  I then added a final layer in silver glimmer paper.

I also added a stamped banner using the Broadway Birthday stamp set.

I then finished the card with the numbers.  The numbers are from my own stash as I needed them to fit on the dream catcher.

I am really pleased with how this card turned out.  I just love how girlie it is without to much pink.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Follow Your Dreams - Every Cloud

Hello everyone.

We are into the 2nd week of the school holidays so I am just stopping by with a card that I made a while ago and I hadn't added it to my blog.  I think I made this one for a workshop as a sample.

I absolutely love the Follow Your Dreams bundle from Stampin' Up!  You can make some really pretty cards.

To make the card I started with the piece of white card stock and used a selection of ink from the Subtles collection and inked up the sky.  I had a die cut of some clouds so I just inked around that using some sponges.

I then cut an aperture in the card using one of the dies from the set.
Next I stamped and heat embossed in gold the large dream catcher and I also added the flowers and feathers.  I die cut the smaller dream catcher and place this over the top.

I coloured the flowers using the aqua painter and the same inks as the background.  I just pressed my clear block into the ink and used the block as a colour palette.

I finished the card with a stamped greeting.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely start to your week.

Alphabet Soup

Good morning.

We are having some lovely weather here in France, its so sunny.  I hope you have had a fun and crafty week.

We have a new challenge today from the Daring Cardmakers.  The team would like to see some alphabets, words or numbers on your creation.

I was asked to create a unicorn themed card and they wanted it personalised with the age and name.

Brilliant, as this covered the challenge perfectly.

My daughter also wants a unicorn themed party so I thought this card would be perfect for her too.

I used a Trimcraft First Edition die to create the unicorn.  The die set comes with all the pieces to make the unicorns face and I just love the lashes.

I then used a couple of Spellbinder die sets for the letters and numbers.

I love pink and purple together with lots of glitter.

Please check out how the Design Team were inspired by this weeks theme over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.

Have a lovely weekend.

Jar Of Love

Hello everyone.

Have you got a card ready to send to your loved one?

Valentines day is tomorrow and I just want to share with you a card I created for my husband.

I used my favourite technique and my favourite stamp set.  That's how much I love him.

I made a shaker card using the Jar Of Love stamp set and matching dies.

To create the shaker element I cut out about 5 or 6 frames of the jar and glued these on top of each other.  I then added a back to the jar and filled this with sequins and tiny hearts.  Then I added a piece of window sheet which will keep the contents secure.

Next I used another frame but this time with the jar image stamped on to it in smoky slate ink and glued this to the shaker element.

I also used the lovely stamp set called Timeless Textures to create the background.

I added a stamped greeting and cut out and stamped the lid of the jar and the bow.

I finished the card with a few stamped hearts and some sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely day.

Love Is In The Air

Hello Crafters.

With Valentines only a few days away I thought I would share with you a couple of quick cards that you could create.  I also used my favourite set of stamps and dies from Stampin' Up!

I don't own any stamps that are specifically for Valentines and I didn't want to over do it with the hearts.

I love the clean and simple look of the cards and they are also perfect for other occasions.

Both cards use the Jar Of Love Stamp Set and matching dies.

I also included a little bit of designer series paper from Broadway Birthday.  I was still using my scraps when I created these cards.

I also added an embossed background using the Pine wood Planks embossing folder.

I absolutely love this set and its a set that I reach for time and time again.  I love the little jars and all the little elements that come in the set.

I just want to apologise for the quality of the photos.  Its so dark, gloomy and wet here at the moment it was difficult to get good lighting to take them.

I hope these cards give you some inspration for your Valentines creations and thanks for stopping by today.

So Many Candles

Its Friday and challenge time at Daring Cardmakers.

Our lovely host is Miri and this weeks challenge is called

So Many Candles

Miri would like to see some candles on your cards.  This could be one or more candles, a birthday card or even a Christmas card with a Christmas candle.

I went with a full row of rainbow candles on my card.

I used the super fun set from Stampin' Up! called Broadway Birthday.

I first stamped the row of candles and flames.  I then stamped the greeting above and added a die cut word over the top of the candles.

I then used some matching designer series paper called Boadway Bound.  The paper is lovely as its foiled on one side and has all these super fun designs which are suitable for all ages.

I then went onto to make a second card using the same set and just stamped the candles all over to create a background.

I then used the die cut word "wish" but added different greetings on little sentiment banners.

Two fun cards using the same stamp and die set.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check out the inspiration from the Design Team over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.

Have a lovely weekend.
