Daring Cardmakers - Pretty Pastels

This is the last festive challenge from the team at Daring Cardmakers before the Christmas holidays.

I would just like to say have a very Merry Christmas and the team will see you again in the new year with lots more challenges and inspiration.

For this weeks challenge the team would like to see pastel colours used on your projects.  This time you can make anything crafty, it doesn't have to be a card.

When I saw the words pastels I knew I just had to use a rainbow of colours.

I have created a pastel rainbow of Christmas trees using the Perfectly Plaid Bundle from Stampin' Up!

I have also used cardstock from the Subtles Collection.

I have used so saffron, mint macaron, balmy blue, soft sea foam and blushing bride.

I stamped the background first using the tree stamp in smoky slate.  I then stamped and heat embossed the trees in gold and punched each one out using the pine tree punch.

I finished the card with a little sentiment across the centre.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers blog for more wonderful inspiration from the Design Team.

Merry Christmas.

Winter scene in DSP

As we are so close to Christmas I thought I would share another  Christmas project.  I have loved crafting with the gorgeous projects from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

On this card I have just used some gorgeous designer series paper to make the snowy scene.

To make the card I used the stitched rectangle dies to cut a panel of the Let It Snow papers.  I used one the papers that looks like falling snow.  Next I cut another rectangle just from white cardstock and ripped this to look like snow banks.

I also wanted a little depth to the scene so I used dimensionals on the layers of snows.  I cut a snowman from another sheet of designer series paper using Let It Snow.

The trees are also cut from the Wrapped In Plaid designer series paper but I used the Pine Tree Punch to cut them out.

I then finished the card by creating an embossed background on some shaded spruce card stock using the pinewood planks embossing folder.

That's all from me for the moment as I am taking a break over Christmas to be with my family.
Just one more post to share this week which is from the team at Daring Cardmakers.

Thank you so much for joining me this year on my Stampin Up! journey and a great big thank you to all my wonderful customers.

Merry Christmas to all
