Tea anyone?

I love making cards with a tea theme and look at the loving inspiration photo from The Shabby Tea Room.

Very warm and Cozy!!  The challenge this week is to create a card using the photo for inspiration and using white/cream with cups and/or teapots.

Here is my card:

I have stamped and embossed the teapot, cup and butterfly and used my pink cosmic shimmer embossing powders which I haven't used for a while and I haven't got much left.

I have added a little hat pin with a tiny sentiment and a lovely organza and paper flower.

Clean and Simple?

I have got around to making my first valentines card, hope my husband likes it.  I have gone for a bit of a clean and simple look which I don't normally do but thought I would give the sketch challenge at Less Is More ago,

Here is the sketch my card is based on:

 and here is my card:

The papers and digital stamp are from Pink Petticoat which I am afraid are not available anymore.

I have then added a little glitter heart to the image.

On A Role

Here I am with another Christmas card.  Its lovely how much Christmas and winter inspiration is around.  Hopefully I will get on top of my Christmas makes this year.

Check out the gorgeous inspiration photo from Cupcake Inspirations.

and here is my card:

I have kept my card simple.  The papers are from Pink Petticoat and were just bits I had in my stash and I have used Spellbinders Snowflake die and of course added a little jingle bell.

I know we have only just had Christmas but rather than rushing to get them all ready I thought I would make an early start and its all thanks to Festive Friday.  I think its a brill idea to have a Christmas card challenge every week and with some lovely inspiration.

Check out the photo:

I have also chosen to combine this challenge with the one over at  The Shabby Tea Room and there challenge is to use white/cream, green, red, a bow and something silver with another gorgeous photo for inspirations:

So here is my card.

I have used my spellbinders snowflake die to make the wreath

I have then added a little red gingham bow with a sliver jingle bell.

I have also used my marvellous squares die to frame my wreath.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

For the Boys

Just sharing a little card I made recently for a little boy who is now a big brother.  My friend asked me to make it.  She wanted a special card from his little sister for his birthday which is in a few weeks.

I have used a digital stamp from My Time Made Easy.

I always find boys and men's cards difficult but this digital stamp made it just so easy.  With a little bit of glitter this wizard is just perfect.

This card is for the challenge at A Gem of a Challenge called for the boys.

Lets Grab A Cup

As its now winter and we are having such horrible weather I thought I would make a little project with a hot drink theme. A cup of tea always seems to make things better.

Its made using The Grab a Cup template from My Time Made Easy along with the matching set of digital stamps.

Here are the links to the products I have used from My Time Made Easy.

Country Cakes Digital Papers

I made it for a friends birthday, hoping to cheer her up!!

The little cup template is big enough to fill with some nice treats.  I put so speciality tea and cookies in my mine.

This project is for the challenge at Daring Cardmakers called what's your tipple.

I love my Cupcakes

All back to normal now after Christmas.  My daughter has been back in school now for over a week which has given me some time to catch up on my blog.  Its difficult when she is at home as I can never get on the laptop as she loves playing on it and watching her DVD's and then we are always making things, baking and at the moment she loves doing jigsaws with a little help.

Here we go with a card I have made for a couple of challenges.

The first challenge is at The Ribbon Reel with this gorgeous photo for inspiration:

and the challenge is to use gold, silver and ribbon.

The layout for the card is for the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room.

I have used my favourite set of cupcake stamps and an organza flower in gold.  My Mother In Law gave me the material it was her Christmas table cloth but the gold glitter kept coming off.  She thought I would make use of it and it was perfect for this challenge.

More New Year Greetings

Just wanted to share with you the Happy New Year cards that I made for a friend.

I made them using my snowflake die from Spellbinders and a little bit of ink.  I love how simple they are.

I added a little bit of seam binding down the side and a few gems.
I got the inspiration from the lovely challenge photo over at Cupcake Inspirations.

I would have done them in pink but I didn't have any pink ink, I must buy some!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone and what better way to start than the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room.
Look at the beautiful inspiration photo:

The challenge this week is a colour challenge and to use black, craft and cream/white.

I have used the gorgeous paper collection from Prima called printery. The little clock is also from the same collection which I have stamped in black and covered in clear embossing powder.

I have also made an organza flower using craft paper and the centre bead is from an old bracelet that I broke.

I also had a play with my cutting dies using Spellbinders marvellous squares which I cut and embossed.
