Playing With Scraps

Hello Everyone.

Today I am sharing a card that I created using up some scraps.  I have a folder with all my little pieces of cardstock in that I think I may use at some point which is starting to get full.  So I thought I should make a card using some.

I cut some pieces into strips but decided to use the stitched rectangles to give them a lovely stitched edge.  I thought a pretty rainbow would make a nice background.  I used real red, pumpkin pie, so saffron, soft seafoam, balmy blue, petal pink and highland heather.

I then used the detailed part of the peaceful poppies die and cut these from white card stock. I also created a simple background using the bricks and mortar embossing folder which you can just see underneath the rainbow of card stock.

I finished the card with a sentiment and some of the clear gems from the flowers for every season suite.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day.

Daring Cardmakers - Lets Go 3D

Hello everyone.

Its my turn to host the weekly challenge over at Daring Cardmakers.

I have picked the theme of Lets Go 3D and I want you yo share your gift bags and boxes with the team this week.

I have made a cute teabag holder and I found the tutorial on U tube from Linda parker which you can find HERE.

I just altered the size a little to fit the tea bags I had, which were Twining's cinnamon and orange. I also didn't add the separate sections for the tea bags but you can add those if you wanted just like the tutorial.

I used a new colour of card stock called Just Jade which is a beautiful shade of green.

To cover the box I have also used some summery papers called Flowers For Every Season.  The designer series paper has lots of pretty floral designs containing sunflowers, daisies , roses and poppies.  There are even a couple of Christmas designs which made me very happy as I love Christmas crafting.

I also used some gorgeous gingham ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season ribbon combo pack to keep the box closed.  You could use velcro or magnets if you wanted to.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog to see more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Team Challenge and Virtual Party

Hello everyone.

A while ago our Stamin' Up! team had a virtual party and team training session which was held by our lovely team leader.  So I just wanted to share the projects I made that were inspired by the session.  I didn't have the stamps that were used so I decided to work with what I already had.

You can find the tutorial HERE for the box from the lovely Sam at Pootles Papercraft.

I decided to use a stamp set and matching die set that is very close to my heart.

I created a matching card and box.  Both projects are similar in the sense that the background is stamped tone on tone in pretty peacock.  I like to create a project where you don't always need to use designer series paper.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day.
