Mellow Yellow

This weeks dare at Daring Cardmakers is called Mellow Yellow and is hosted by the lovely Nat.  who would like to see yellow on your card as the main colour along with any neutral.

Hopefully spring is just around the corner and in my garden the spring blubs are starting to make an appearance.  So its lovely to make this sort of card this week, something bright and cheerful so I have gone with flowers on my card too.

I love the little bee on this card so I have added some glossy accents to him and glittered his wings.

I have also added some lace and a wooden flower with a tiny ladybird.

Childhood (book) Heros

 I was super excited to find out the dare this week over at Daring Cardmakers. Its all about your Childhood book Heroes.  Mine just had to be The Marvellous Land Of Oz.  I loved this book so much that I called my Mother in England to have a search in the loft to see if she could find it.  But unfortunately I must have thrown it out.  I must get another copy to read to my daughter as she does like the Wizard of Oz the film with Judy Garland.   I was very disappointed to learn that in the series of books Dorothy's shoes are in fact silver!

My card is based on the Wonderful Wizard of Oz as I didn't have any Pumpkin heads, sawhorses or Woggle bugs in the stash.

So I think my heroes were of course Dorothy, the Tin Woodman, the cowardly lion and the Scarecrow.

LOVE, Initially

Its Friday again and time for a new challenge at Daring Cardmakers.  As its valentines day tomorrow how about a L O V E theme.  This weeks challenge is to use things beginning with letters L O V E.

Here is my card:

L = Love hearts
O = Organza ribbon
V = Vase
E = Embossing

So on my card with have the love hearts on the backing paper and the little embellishment.  I have used some organza ribbon and the little digi image is a vase of flowers.  Finally the square panel has some embossing created from a Spellbinders die.

Don't forget to stop by the blog and check out what the Design Team have created at Daring Cardmakers.

Elemental Inspiration

Its the first Friday of the month and that means its Elemental Inspiration over at Daring Cardmakers.  Take a look at the picture below and we want you to pick out at least 3 elements from the image to create your card.

and here is my card.

The elements I have picked are the doodle style of the image, so found a backing paper which was similar.  The colours and flowers.  I also thought that some of the shapes looked like fairy wings so have gone with a fairy digi image.
