In the Forest

The weather certainly has changed here, Autumn is on its way.  My pumpkins are looking good will have to post some pictures as its the first time we have tried to grow them.

So to this weeks challenge at Daring Cardmakers. Its all about in the forest.  Your card should feature something you find in an autumnal forest, leaves, animals trees, etc...

I have gone with leaves and a cute owl!

The image is from My Time Made Easy called wonderful woodland creatures.

I have then used autumn colours, brown, orange, etc....

Pink Christmas

I just love making Christmas cards and Festive Friday Challenge Blog is a great place to look for inspiration.  Its never to early to start on your festive makes even though its red hot and brilliant blue skies here in France today.

Just look at the beautiful inspiration photo:

Here is my take on this weeks challenge.

I have stamped and embossed the greeting and tree in silver and added a few embellishments to the tree.

I have then added a string of gems and some lovely pom pom trim from The Ribbon Reel.
The layout for the card is taken from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. But my card isn't clean enough to enter, I can't help adding embellishments when it comes to Christmas cards.  So I won't enter this one.

Stencil Revolution

Challenge time at Daring Cardmakers and this week was really out of my comfort zone.  We are asked this week to use a stencil on our cards.  I don't have any stencils so I used my cutting dies to create my own and added some ink.

I then added a few embellishments which I found in my craft stash.  Some little flower stickers and my lovely wooden ladybirds, which I picked up from the local supermarket.

I then added a xcut sentiment in black and layered the whole thing onto black card and added some ribbon.

This card was a challenge for me and I have ended up with a clean and simple card which I quite like doing at the moment.  Not a piece of backing paper in sight, my husband will be pleased.  I have managed to save him some ink!!

Just words

Its only a 3 months away and Christmas will soon be here.  My daughter is excited already as our new baby arrives very close to Christmas and she keeps asking me how many sleeps. So cute.

So here is a clean and simple card I have made using a Xcut die and an embossing plate.

I have just used red and white and a little glitter on the snowflake.  The star embellishment is recycled from a gift I received and I think its made from cork.

The embossing plate from Xcut is lovely as its covered in leaping reindeer.

This card is for the challenge at Merry Monday called The Words Have it.

Food Glorious Food

I have made this weeks card for the challenge at Daring Card Makers for my little Nephew .  I love the fact that we both share the same birthday and it makes the day feel very special.

The challenge this week is Food Glorious Food.  I have chosen ice cream for my card as its for a 4 year old and who doesn't love ice cream.

The image and sentiment are from a set at Pink Petticoat.  Unfortunately the set is not available anymore but there are other lovely images to download and craft with.  The papers I have used are from a My Time Made Easy called Coffee Beans.

I have also added some little stars.  I love adding these to a card especially if they are for a little person.  I have used a little glitter on the vanilla ice cream and added some glossy accents to the sundae glass.

Coffee Cup Colours!

My daughter has been back in school for a few days now and finally we are back into some sort of routine after the holidays.  She said she was a little nervous and was worried she may have forgotten her French but with minutes of her best friend arriving at school things we back to normal.

So now some crafty time for Mum.  Here is this weeks challenge at Daring Card Makers.

Sharon asks us to use the colours from her coffee cup.

Here is my card:

I have gone with brown, blue, cream and a bit of white.  I have used the chocolate recipe heaven set from Printable Heaven.

I made the little chocolate bar from some foam but had to colour it with my promarkers as I only had white.  The set also comes with little packets of sugar, butter and other ingredients to add to your cards which are really cute.
