Bags and Boxes

Its challenge time at Daring Cardmakers.

We have another fun challenge for you this week.  We want to see your bags or boxes.  It doesn't have to be for Christmas.

I am starting to worry as my last two projects have not been Christmassy and I love this time for year for crafting.

For this weeks challenge I have used a die from Spellbinders to make the box.  I have had this die for ages and thought I would try it out.

It was super easy to put together.  I just added a little stamping around the sides and added a little bloom to the top using a Fiskars punch.

These would look just as pretty in Christmas colours for your table or just as little gift boxes.

To make the flower I punched out 5 flowers and inked up the edges.  I then spritzed them with water and scrunched the petals up.  I waited for them to dry before I glued them together.  I then added a little enamel dot to the centre.

Thanks for stopping by today and please stop by the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Come and join in the fun and we can't wait to see what you create.

Lots Of Blooms In A jar

Hello everyone.

Todays project is one of my favourites.  I absolutely love this set from Stampin' Up called Jar Of Love.

I have created a very pretty card with lots of flowers.  This stamp set is a two step stamp set this means you don't have to worry about colouring in the flowers.  You just need two shades of ink and your flowers are ready.

To make the card I started with a piece of white card stock and layered this onto some calypso coral.

I then used the wood words stamp set to create the back ground and coloured in some of the flowers using the aqua painter and a bit of ink.

I next die cut an oval from the stitched shapes framelits die set to sit the little jar of flowers on.

I stamped and die cut the jar first, added the water and some stems to the jar.  These stamps are all in the set.

I then began to stamp and die cut all the pretty blooms I needed to fill it.

To finish the card I added some silver thread to the top of the jar and added a stamped greeting.

Merry Christmas Makes #8

Hello everyone.

Thank you for joining me for another

Merry Christmas Makes.

I am really enjoying show casing this fabulous stamps and die bundle called Making Christmas Bright.

I have a fabulous workshop planned for next week to make the most of this amazing set.

Today I am showing you how to combine this set with another gorgeous stamp set called Lovely As A Tree.

For this card the inspiration came from my child hood and those tinsel strips that you decorated your tree with to look like icicles.

I started with a piece of white card stock which I layered onto some real red card stock.  I then stamped the fir tree in pear pizzazz and garden green in the top corner to look like the branches of the Christmas tree.

I then used the stamp from the Making Christmas Bright with the tiny hanging stars and heat embossed these in gold.

Next I stamped with Versamark the little star light bulbs and added some red glitter embossing powder which I found hiding in my stash.  I added these to the card with some dimensionals.

To finish the card I added a greeting using Versamark and some gold embossing powder.

Starry Skies

Hello everyone.

Its time for another weekly challenge from Daring Cardmakers.

This weeks theme is Starry Skies.

You could have one star or a whole galaxy.  Perhaps a glimpse of Father Christmas flying by or a heavenly host of angels.

It doesn't have to be for Christmas.

I have gone with a none Christmas theme this week and made a new baby card.

I still managed to include a starry sky with a moon a few stars and a cloud.

I really do love the sentiment stamp that I had in my stash.

A super sweet card made with just a few die cuts and some stamping.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check out the Design Teams amazing starry creations over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.

Have a lovely weekend.

Broadway Bound Birthday Return

Hello everyone.

I have been knee deep in Christmas crafting and forgot that I had this lovely set to play with.

So as my birthday card stash was running low I thought I would make start on just some general birthday cards.

The Broadway Bound Bundle is perfect for all ages.

To make the card I layered some white cardstock onto some basic black.  I then cut a circle using the stitched shapes framelit dies from some of the gorgeous matching designer series paper.

Next I die cut a strip of diamonds from some lovely lipstick cardstock.  I added this to the card underneath the die cut circle.  I then cut the word wish from black and lovely lipstick card stock and created a drop shadow.  I also used the candle die to create the "I" in WISH.

I finished my card with a gold heat embossed greeting and used the waste diamonds as a little embellishment in the corner.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a lovely day.

Merry Christmas Makes #7

Hello everyone.

The weeks are starting to pass very quickly and I must make a start on the Christmas shopping but at least I will have all my cards and decorations made.

Merry Christmas Makes

Todays its project number 7.

I have a sampler to share with you today and I have tried to use most of the stamps from the Making Christmas Bright Bundle.

I bought the box frame online at Hobbycraft as at the time they were on offer.

To start with I cut a piece of designer series paper to fit the inside of the frame.

I then used the largest square from the stitched shapes framelits dies and cut 4 from some real red card stock.  I then cut out for squares from white card stock and began to decorate these with different elements from the stamp set.

I also a cut the largest circle from the stitched shapes framelits set and a smaller circle from white card stock and decorated this for the centre of the box frame sampler.

I then added a few table diamonds to add a little bit of extra sparkle.  I picked these up from a local craft shop.

A lovely piece of home décor or to show case this fabulous stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today and please stop by next Monday and I will share another Merry Christmas Make with you.
