Daring Cardmakers - Number It

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Shabneez is our lovely host this week and would like to see some numbers on your cards.  So think about those special birthdays/anniversaries.

My daughter has a birthday coming up so I created this card that her little brother can give to her.

My mam would also make sure that if the card was for one of our birthdays or her grandchildren she would always add little gold foil numbers to the front as certain birthdays and anniversaries you cannot find cards with numbers on.

This is what I love about card making is that you can add any number to a card you just need a set of stamps or dies.  This set I used also had family members included.  I do love it when you see a card or a stamp set that includes the word "MAM" instead of mum as I am from the North East of the UK its what we all use.

Daring Cardmakers - Bees

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Our lovely host this weeks is Rizwana who would like to see bees on your cards or anything related to bees like honey, honey comb etc..

I pulled out the perfect retired set for this called Honey Bee.

I love this bundle so much and was so happy that I could use it for this challenge.

I created a little bit of interest to the background first by adding the honey comb.  I then added the bee hive, flowers and bees.  If you look closely I have used some crystal shimmery effects to the wings of the large bee (queen).

I finished my card with a sentiment and a little bit of bling.

First Day Of Spring

Hello everyone.

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Happy first day of Spring and I am looking forward to some warmer weather and longer days.

As its the first day of Spring I wanted to share a seasonal inspired project with you.

This card uses some designer series paper from a Sale A Bration pack that was called Dainty Flowers.  I thought the piece I used looked like a spring/summer meadow.

I wanted the designer series paper to be the main focal point of the card so all I did was add some fire flies from the Lighting The Way bundle.

I then finished the card with a sentiment and some ribbon.

I love the designer series paper packs as they always have some fabulous designs that can be used just on their own with just a sentiment.

If you check out the Clearance Section you can find lots of lovely designer series papers at a reduced price.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by again soon.

Daring Cardmakers - Little One(s)

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Miri is our lovely host this week and would like to see cards made for little ones or use little images.

I went with a cute turtle for my card this week.  I thought it would appeal to a little one for their birthday.

I used a retired punch and stamp set called Turtle Friends.  The stamp set is so sweet and I should have used the baby turtle that's included in the set as they make great baby cards too.

I think this little guy is just the cutest and I kept my card really simple.  I just added a lovely pop of bright colour by stamping the hearts.

Waves of Inspiration and Rays Of Light

Hello everyone.

I hope things are going great for you this week and I thought I would share a mid week post.

I just love the range of stunning seaside/beach themed products in the current catalogue.
One of my favourites is the Waves Of Inspiration Bundle.  I just love the large wave stamp and you can add different shades of blue ink to the stamp to create lots of depth to your image.

For this card I have also used the Rays Of Light Background Stamp.  I masked off the wave and stamped the image in daffodil delight ink.  I then added the sentiment and clouds which also came from the waves of inspiration bundle.

As both stamps are really big and I wanted to add the colour to the wave using different shades of blue, I found it easier to use the Stamparatus.  I was then able to stamp the image in the same place.

This is a lovely card to send to someone to let them know how wonderful they are.

By The Bay and Friends are like Seashells

 Hello everyone.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and managed a little crafting.

Now that the mornings are a little lighter on the school run my mind is now turning to warmer weather.  I am ready for a little sun instead of rain.  Its very wet during the winter here in Brittany, France.

For todays project I have created a beach themed card.

I have used some lovely designer series paper called By The Bay.  The papers are just so stunning, some are foiled and others have like this clear gloss on them.  You need to have them in your hand to truly appreciate them as the catalogue and website do not do them justice.

I have also used the Friends Are Like Seashells stamps and matching dies and embossing folder.

The sentiment I used came from the Waves Of Inspiration Bundle.  I love that all the beach/sea themed stamps and dies are coordinate with each other beautifully.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day.

Daring Cardmakers - Spots and Stripes

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Kathy is our lovely host this week and would like to see spots or stripes (or both) on your cards.

I have gone with both.

I have used some designer series paper with stripes which came from a previous Sale A bration set which was called Honey Bee (I think).  I also decided to tear the paper on the long edges.

Then for the spots I used the cute Hello Ladybug stamps and matching punch.  I decided to stamp the ladybirds instead of just punching from red and black card stock.  I also added a little bit of vellum to the wings.

I added a little biT of bling and a sentiment to finish the card.  I also made the card fairly clean and simple.

Free Standing Post It Note Holder

 Hello everyone.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Its seems to have been a while since I shared something other than projects for the Design Team I am a part of.  So I thought I would find some time to share with you this cute project.

I have re made an older project using some current products

You can find the original tutorial HERE and by the lovely Jan Brown.

I wanted to create a post it note holder in a neutral colour and something that would go well in my home.  I have used mossy meadow for the base of the holder and this isn't a colour a usual use.

I then used some lovely papers that I got free during Sale A Bration.  I hope you all managed to profit with some fabulous freebies.

I also used the beautiful Lighting The Way Bundle to decorate the front.  This fabulous new stamp and die set comes in a choice of photopolymer or cling.

The little bee is an embellishment that I had in my stash but I think it looks really cute.  These are now retired but you can find some stunning Dragonfly Trinkets which would work and look just as pretty.

Thanks for stopping by today and please stop by again soon.

Daring Cardmakers - March Elemental Inspiration

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Miri is our lovely host this week and has picked this gorgeous group of images for the March Elemental Inspiration Challenge.

Remember you need to pick 3 elements from the picture to be featured on your card.

I have picked the tulips, a selection of the colours, a sentiment as the focal point and some squares.

I have used lots of different products on my card which unfortunately are now all retired from Stampin Up.  I used some gorgeous tulip paper and added some stamped tulips with a pretty little bee embellishment.

I then created the sentiment from two different sets of stamps then I added the die cut letters.

As its now long until Mothers Day in England I thought this challenge was a great inspiration to make a card for my Mum In Law.

Have a lovely weekend.
