Jar of Loveliness

Two posts in one day.  I find it difficult to blog these days as I have a little one at home and he just doesn't want to leave Mummy's side at the moment so while its quiet I thought I would get on and enter a couple more challenges.

This time I have used my favourite stamp set from Stampin Up called Jar of Love.  I love this little set as it can be used for all sorts of occasions.  I like to buy a set that I know I will get my moneys worth out of and this is definitely one of them.

I just love the little flowers that come in the set as you can two step stamp them.  I actually stamped off to make the pink flowers as I didn't have the right colour pink for the challenge at Colour Throwdown.

I really liked the image in the picture so I based my card on that.

The layout for the card was taken from the Sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  To make the circles I used the stitched framelit dies from Stampin Up.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

Merry Monday

Hello All.

Well I have made a start on the Christmas cards and a great way to find inspiration was to join in with the challenge over at Merry Monday.

Here is the lovely inspiration picture for you to use.

I was inspired by the mug of coffee so here is my take on the image.

I recently bought the lovely stitched dies from Stampin Up so I just had to give them a try on this card.

I also used a sweet little die set from Paper Sweeties called Coffee, Yes Please.  I cut out the little take away cups and added some glitter hearts.

The sentiment I used was from digital set downloaded at Pink Petticoat.

Thanks for stopping by.

I want more.....

Hello everyone.

We have a question for you over at Daring Cardmakers "What would you like more of?"

More glitter, more time, more magic, more vegetables, more love, more books and the list is endless.

We would like you to show us in a card what you would like more of.

Here is what I would like more of.

I would like more time to craft and more time to have coffee with friends.

I used a cute little stamp and matching die set from Paper Sweeties called coffee, yes please.
I really love the sentiment.

I wanted to give my card that cosy feel so I used a lot of red and kraft.  Some lovely warm colours.

It really sums up how I feel some days.

I hope you can stop by the Design Team Blogs and see what they would like more of.

 Happy Weekend All.

Stitch It

Hello Everyone.

I hope you are keeping warm this week.  Its very cold here in France but beautiful sunny days so that makes it for the temperature drop.

Its challenge time over at Daring Cardmakers.  Its Nat's turn to host this week and she wants you to feature stitching on your card.

For this you could get your sewing machine out, use dies, stamps or like me use the faux stitching technique.
(lots of dashes)

I decided to give my card a spring feel with a little pin wheel and a row of bunting which if you look closely does have stitching around the edge.

I then used some design paper which featured clouds and sky and added some die cut clouds around the pin wheel.  They are actually frosting from a cupcake die set but I thought they looked like clouds.

I then finished with a simple sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and please stop by the Design Team Blogs for more inspiration.

Have a great day.

NEW!!!

Hello everyone.

Time for another challenge at Daring Cardmakers.

This week its Kathy's turn to host and its all about trying something new.

So this could be a new technique, a new fold or something else that you have never done before.

For this challenge I wanted to try and get inky again so I had ago at making my own background.

To make my card I inked up an acrylic blocked with a couple of colours.  I then sprayed it with water and used the block as my stamp.

I waited for the ink to dry and added the black image, a few sequins and the twine.
I then went on to stamp a few fire flies and the greeting.

I think it turned out great for my first attempt and kind of looks like a sunset.

The stamp set I used is called Jar Of Love from Stampin up.

Don't forget to stop by the design team blogs for more inspiration and we can't wait to see what you create.

Elemental Inspiration

Hello Everyone.

Sorry for this late post.  I am not sure where this week is going and I have found it very difficult to get time to blog as my little boy does not like me to leave his side at the moment.

Anyway its elemental inspiration time over at Daring Cardmakers and this week we have a wonderful picture to spark your creativity after the New Year.  All of us at Daring Cardmakers hope you had a lovely Christmas break and we are hoping you will join us this year with our fabulous dares.

Here is this weeks picture.

Remember to use at least 3 elements from the image.

Here is how I was inspired.

The elements I picked were the colours, jar, wood grain and the foliage.

I used my favourite stamp set from Stampin Up called jar of love and I turned the jar into a shaker coffee jar.

The cup, coffee beans and sentiment are from a stamp set Paper Sweeties called Coffee, Yes Please.

I then used a wood grain embossing folder also from Stampin Up and added a little bit of white embossing powder to it just to give it that white washed looked.

Hope you can stop by the Design Team Blogs for more lovely inspiration

Enjoy your week.

Paper Sweeties

I am currently guest designing over at Paper Sweeties for this months inspiration challenge and I have just received some new stamps and dies as I won a lovely gift certificate for a recent inspiration challenge.

I was really hoping they would be here in time for the start of the January challenge but as it was Christmas they took a few weeks to arrive from America.

As soon as they arrived I had to have a play and here is what I came up.

I used the stamp set called Snow Time with the matching sweet cut dies.  Two different looks from one stamp set and they will be stashed away for next years Christmas cards.

Of course I had to add one of the lovely sequins from Paper Sweeties to the top of the little trees.

I hope you can stop by the Paper Sweeties BLOG for more lovely inspiration and also check out their Facebook page.

Paper Sweeties Inspiration - January

Hello All and Happy New Year.

I am super excited to be sharing my card with you today as its my first post of the year and especially  as I am guest designer over at Paper Sweeties.

Here is this months inspiration picture.  Its so cute.

I decided not to make a winter themed card as here in France it never snows just rains a lot!
So I have been inspired by the lovely bright colours in the picture and the little buttons on the snowman.

I wanted to try and make my card bright and cheerful.

I have used two stamp sets from Paper Sweeties called Sending Sweet Thoughts and Coffee Yes Please along with the matching sweet cut dies.  I had to include a little sparkle somewhere so I cut the frosting for the cupcakes from white glitter card and added a little red heart to the mug.

I love these two sets as they are great for all kinds of occasions.

I finished by adding some little buttons for the decorations on the top of the cupcakes.

I hope you can stop by the Paper Sweeties blog for more lovely inspiration and to check out the gorgeous products.
