Merry Christmas Makes #12

Hello everyone and this is my final project in this festive series.

Merry Christmas Makes

I just want to thank you all for taking the time to check out my projects and I hope you have found some inspiration for your own festive creations this season.

We have a new catalogue coming in the New Year and I can't wait to start creating with some lovely new products.

So here is my last project and I have to finish with a lovely gift bag.  I have made several of these over the last few weeks and I decide how nice it would be to make some little Christmas eve bags for my children.

I thought I would fill them with lots of lovely treats to cosy up with on Christmas eve.

I also used some handles off another paper bag that I had.  I thought I might be able to use the whole bag, but the stores name was printed all over the front, back and sides so made it a little hard to cover.  But the paper handles worked really well.

I have used the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper as I just love this design with the black background and all the fun festive images.

Thanks again for stopping by today and throughout all 12 projects.  I will be taking a little break over the Christmas period to have some fun with my family.

All that is left to say is thank you for all your support this last year and I want to wish you all a very happy Christmas and all the best for 2023.

Merry Christmas Makes #11

Hello everyone and we are now so close to Christmas and the end of my festive series.

I actually mis counted the weeks so they will be two projects this week.  Look out for the final project on Wednesday.

Merry Christmas Makes

For this week's project I wanted to create something a little bit more traditional, and you can't get any more traditional than the Christmas tree.

I have used the Trees For sale stamps and I did use the tree lot dies to cut the trees out.  If you were lucky enough to get them with the sale a bration when the seasonal catalogue was launched then they are perfect for this project.

I just wanted my card to feature some lovely green colours, so I used shaded spruce and evening evergreen, and the names of those colours just sound so festive.

I also used some of the gorgeous designer series paper called Painted Christmas.  The designs are stunning if you want a lovely festive foliage look to your cards.

I then finished the card with a little bit of bling for a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by on Wednesday for my last Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt - Believe

 Hello everyone.

Our Christmas challenge countdown continues this week over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This time we are changing things a little bit and having one word prompt challenges as well as the elemental inspiration challenge coming at the beginning of December.

This week's word prompt is BELIEVE.

How will you use the word BELIEVE on your creations this week?  Remember it doesn't have to be for Christmas and could be other projects not just cards.

I cannot take credit for this as I saw lots of these projects on Pinterest, and I just had to make one for my little boy.

It's basically a tag with one of the magic sleigh bells from Father Christmas.  The story says if you can hear the bell ring you believe, and I just love that.

I used the Tailor Made Tag Dies for tag base and cut several out to make the tag sturdier to hang in the tree.  We also have a magic key to hang in the tree and Father Christmas moves it after he has used it to open the door as we don't have a big fireplace.  I would love to know how you create the magic for your little ones at home.

I then found these large jingle bells that I had in my crafting stash and added one of those.  I also included a smaller tag with the word believe stamped onto it.

I can't wait for Christmas to tell my son where this bell came from.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

This is our last challenge of the year so please join us again in the new year for more creative challenges.

From myself and all the Design Team have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Merry Christmas Makes #10

Hello everyone and I hope you are enjoying the run up to Christmas.  I hope by now that you have your tree decorated.

Merry Christmas Makes

As we are all super busy now with Christmas preparations, I wanted to create a card that can be made fairly quickly.  I just wanted to take a few supplies and make a cute but simple card.

I have made two cards for this week's project.

This one just uses a stamped sentiment and some pretty designer series paper.  The sentiment is from the Snowman Magic set and the paper is the host gift in the seasonal catalogue called Celebrate Everything

The next card I have created uses the same paper pack and stamp set but I have just stepped it up a level and used some white embossing powder to give a chalk board effect.

I have just added a little bit of colour to the designer series paper as the paper is black and white and those trees were crying out to be coloured in

I then added a cute bow, and the bell is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt - GIFT

 Hello everyone.

Our Christmas challenge countdown continues this week over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This week's word prompt is GIFT.

How will you use the word Gift on your creations this week?  Remember it doesn't have to be for Christmas and could be other projects not just cards.

I have created a gift bag and matching tag.

I have used the tailor made tag dies to create the tag.  I cut one from white cardstock and a larger one from some designer series paper.  I then added a sentiment, and the tree came from the trees for sale stamp set which is retiring soon.

The ribbon was some that I had in my stash, and I think it came from Lidl last year.

Inside the bag is a warm hug, a sachet of coffee, a spoon and some camomile tea.

I made this one for a customer to say thank you.

I like to have some little treats stashed away just in case.  Perhaps this would make a lovely teacher gift or just a small thank you to someone that needs it.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas Makes #9

Hello and welcome to my blog and another festive project.

Merry Christmas Makes

I had this idea for today's project swimming around in my head for ages and just hoping that when I received the Snowman Magic Bundle that the snowman would fit inside the gumball machine.

I was so pleased that it did.

I am a huge fan of shaker card designs and if I can make a card shake when full of sequins and sparkle it makes me happy.

I have used the retired (spring/summer) gumball greetings bundle to create the shaker part of the card.  I always try and show you not only current Stampin Up products but ones that we may already have and then show you how they can work together.

I love this one so much.  You could also fill this one with Christmas peppermint swirls if you have a stamp or a small Christmas tree.  The penguin place stamp set might also work, I must try that as my son would love it.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - December Elemental Inspiration

Hello everyone and welcome back to another challenge from the Daring Cardmakers.

It's the first Friday of the month and that means it's an elemental inspiration challenge.
Just select 3 elements from the image below to be used on your card.

For my card I went with the colours, texture to match the fireplace, a black on white sentiment and the foliage in the Christmas rose.

I have used lots of retired items that I had hidden in my stash.  The embossing folder is called tin tiled and I think it was one of the first 3d embossing folders I bought.  The detail is amazing.  I then fussy cut the flower from a sheet of designer series paper.

I think I also picked the sentiment as one of pictures is a beautiful living room scene, so I had to include the word home on the card somewhere.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Please pop by next week for another word prompt challenge.

Have a lovely weekend.

Merry Chrristmas Makes #8

Hello everyone and how are we all today?
Have you started, finished or in the middle of your Christmas shopping?

Merry Christmas Makes

Today I am sharing a fun decoration that you can make with your children and using vellum.

I made a pretty medallion for the tree which uses the snowflake speciality vellum.  I just love the iridescent foiling which will be extra sparkly on the tree with all the pretty lights.

You just need a piece of vellum or designer series paper that measures 12"x 1.5".  Score on the long side at every 1/2" and then begin folding like you are making a paper fan.  Join the two ends with glue and once dry push down in the centre and add a circle of paper to the centre.

I added some pretty glitter organdy ribbon and a wonderful snowflake to the centre.

These are super quick and make really lovely decorations for your tree or to add to gift to create a personal touch.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt - SHINE

                                                                 Hello everyone.

Our Christmas challenge countdown continues this week over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This time we are changing things a little bit and having one word prompt challenges as well as the elemental inspiration challenge coming at the beginning of December.

This week's word prompt is SHINE.

How will you use the word SHINE on your creations this week?  Remember it doesn't have to be for Christmas and could be other projects not just cards.

I decided to go with some festive lights to shine on the Christmas tree and I love it when they are the only light on in the room.

I have used a couple of retired sets for this card as I think they both work really well together.  I wanted the lights to look like they are hanging in the tree.  I have used Making Christmas Bright and Sparkle of the Season.

I also used one of my favourite festive colours for the base of the card which is called evening evergreen.  I just love the deep forest green.  I then used some Glimmer Paper in the new in colours for the lights as I wanted a mega pop of colour to make the lights shine bright.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas Makes #7

Hello everyone and I hope you had a fun weekend.

So here is project number 7 and I wanted to combine some annual and festive catalogue items.

Merry Christmas Makes

I recently bought the Days To Remember stamp set in a flash sale and thought it would be fun to use it on a Christmas project.

I stamped on the calendar for the month of December and then used the date marker stamp to mark the 25th. I also used the Snowman Magic Bundle to create the border and the little snowman at the bottom.

Don't forget to hunt through your craft stash to see what other stamps and dies you have that could be used for Christmas projects.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt - WHITE

 Hello everyone.

Our Christmas challenge countdown continues this week over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This time we are changing things a little bit and having one word prompt challenges as well as the elemental inspiration challenge coming at the beginning of December.

This week's word prompt is WHITE.

How will you use the word WHITE on your creations this week?  Remember it doesn't have to be for Christmas and could be other projects not just cards.

I was inspired to use snow and snowmen on my card this week, of course it had to be when you see the word WHITE.

I have also made most of the card white and just added a few pops of colour in pool party.

I made a second card and used the stamp and die set for both cards called Snowman Magic

I have also used a snowflake embossing folder which breaks up all the white a bit and adds a bit of texture.

I then finished both cards with a little bit of bling.  At Christmas time especially, a card isn't finished until you add a little sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas Makes #6

 Hello everyone and welcome back.

Now that we are further into November, I feel we can officially get to Christmas crafting.  So today I thought I would share with you a Christmas decoration.  I did share this to Facebook a while ago as I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Merry Christmas Makes

Before I discovered paper crafting, I loved to do cross stitching, I had lots of these wooden hoops so I thought I would repurpose one as a rustic decoration.

I have used the now retired tree lot dies that were available during sale a bration.  The snowflake speciality vellum was also perfect for this.  I glued a circle of the vellum to the back of the hoop.  I then added the camper and tress and finished the hoop with some of this gorgeous black and white gingham ribbon.  I also had this jungle bell in my crafting stash which I though was a perfect embellishment.

You could create any scene inside the hoop using any of the amazing stamps and die from the July-December mini catalogue.

The hoop is a perfect size to hang in your Christmas tree or perhaps in a window.  I am a fan of the modern farmhouse style of home decor, so this fit right in.

Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt HOLLY

Hello everyone.

It's time for our Christmas challenge countdown over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This time we are changing things a little bit and having one word prompt challenges as well as the elemental inspiration challenge coming at the beginning of December.

This week's word prompt is HOLLY.

How will you use the word HOLLY on your creations this week?  Remember it doesn't have to be for Christmas and could be other projects not just cards.

I have used a simple sprig of holly on my card this week using the retired Sparkle of the Season stamps.  The sentiment banner was from some designer series paper that I had in my stash which was a sheet full of tiny sentiments.  All I did was cut one out.

I added a little bit of bling, and a lovely simple card was created.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Merry Christmas Makes #5

Hello and welcome back to my blog and another festive project.

We all need gift tags during the Christmas period so I thought today's project would be some super quick tags.

Merry Christmas Makes

I thought it would be fun to use the snowflake speciality vellum.  I used the tailor made tag dies for the base of the tags.  I cut two, one from white cardstock and another from the vellum.  I then stamped the greeting on to the tag using the Snowman Magic stamp set.  I just really loved the big bold sentiment from the set.

I then used the vellum as an over lay to the tag which makes the stamped image underneath appear softer.  I just love the vellum as you get several sheets of snowflakes, some are flocked, and some have iridescent foiling.  I used both so you can see the difference.

I created just two tags but how lovely would it be to create a rainbow of stamped tags.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

November - Elemental Inspiration

Hello everyone and welcome back to another challenge from the Daring Cardmakers.

It's the first Friday of the month and that means it's an elemental inspiration challenge.
Just select 3 elements from the image below to be used on your card.

I picked the colours with a pop of red. trees, the sentiment on the black background, twine and gingham.

To make my card I used the hostess paper pack called Celebrate Everything.  The pack has all kinds of design for all occasion including Christmas.  There was this stunning black and white pattern that I have used on my card, and I coloured some of the trees.  I should have used the colour on the elemental image, but I wanted to include a jingle bell which happened to be red.

I then created the sentiment to look like a chalk board and I used the stamp from the Snowman Magic set of stamps.  I finished the card with a ribbon, a little bling and the jingle bell.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Don't forget to stop by again next week as we are having our run up to Christmas weekly challenges.  Each week they will be something festive to inspired you with your Christmas Projects.

Have a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas Makes #4

 Hello everyone.

I know its Halloween today but as it fell on Monday it coincides with my Christmas series, oops.

I have another project to share with you and one that had been in my head for a while that I needed to get creating.

Merry Christmas Makes

I wanted to fill a teacup from the Cup Of Tea bundle with festive foliage.

I had to use the retired sparkle of the season but if you have any stamp sets that have this kind of greenery then it would work too.

I just love the black and white striped cup.

I finished the card with a little bling and a sentiment.  I also used an embossing folder in the background just to break up all the white space.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Have a great Halloween and stay safe.

Daring Cardmakers - Creature Comforts

Hello everyone.  It's the end of another week which means it's time for some crafty fun from the team at Daring Cardmakers.

Joanne is our lovely host this week and would like to see some fury (or feathery) friends all dressed up warm and cosy for the winter.  I appear to have mis read the brief and dressed up a penguin as Rudolph.  He still looks really cute and with all those feathers perhaps he is already cosy enough.

He is just so adorable with his antlers and red nose.
I have used the Penguin Place stamps and the matching punch to create the card.  The stamp set does have a scarf and a hat so had I read the brief correctly he would have been wearing those.

I then went onto to create a little matching tag.  My son loves penguins so I think I will keep this one for him.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.
