Daring Cardmakers - Shake it

Hello everyone.

Its time for another challenge from the team at Daring Cardmakers.

Our lovely host this week is Rizwana who would like to see a shaker element on your creations.

This is just my favourite technique to use.  I decided to use some new products from Stampin Up which you can buy from August 4th.

I have made a shaker Christmas card using the new snowflake wishes stamp and die set.

I have also used some fabulous sequins and the lovely new designer series paper called snowflake splendour.

I always make my shaker cards in the same way by creating a frame and I usually cut out about 6 and glue them on top of each other.  This creates enough space for your sequins to move.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Faux Embossed with Poppies

Hello everyone.

I thought I would continue with the faux embossed theme and try using a different die set this time.

I really love how you can create lovely backgrounds using die cuts.

This time I have used white and created a background using the Peaceful Moments bundle.

I have cut out several of the outline poppies and adhered them to the white base.

I added a simple sentiment banner and a few sequins.

A super simple card to make and one that I think is really effective as I love the white and black together.

Thanks for stopping by today.
