Merry Christmas Makes #12

Hello everyone and this is my final project in this festive series.

Merry Christmas Makes

I just want to thank you all for taking the time to check out my projects and I hope you have found some inspiration for your own festive creations this season.

We have a new catalogue coming in the New Year and I can't wait to start creating with some lovely new products.

So here is my last project and I have to finish with a lovely gift bag.  I have made several of these over the last few weeks and I decide how nice it would be to make some little Christmas eve bags for my children.

I thought I would fill them with lots of lovely treats to cosy up with on Christmas eve.

I also used some handles off another paper bag that I had.  I thought I might be able to use the whole bag, but the stores name was printed all over the front, back and sides so made it a little hard to cover.  But the paper handles worked really well.

I have used the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper as I just love this design with the black background and all the fun festive images.

Thanks again for stopping by today and throughout all 12 projects.  I will be taking a little break over the Christmas period to have some fun with my family.

All that is left to say is thank you for all your support this last year and I want to wish you all a very happy Christmas and all the best for 2023.

Merry Christmas Makes #11

Hello everyone and we are now so close to Christmas and the end of my festive series.

I actually mis counted the weeks so they will be two projects this week.  Look out for the final project on Wednesday.

Merry Christmas Makes

For this week's project I wanted to create something a little bit more traditional, and you can't get any more traditional than the Christmas tree.

I have used the Trees For sale stamps and I did use the tree lot dies to cut the trees out.  If you were lucky enough to get them with the sale a bration when the seasonal catalogue was launched then they are perfect for this project.

I just wanted my card to feature some lovely green colours, so I used shaded spruce and evening evergreen, and the names of those colours just sound so festive.

I also used some of the gorgeous designer series paper called Painted Christmas.  The designs are stunning if you want a lovely festive foliage look to your cards.

I then finished the card with a little bit of bling for a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by on Wednesday for my last Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt - Believe

 Hello everyone.

Our Christmas challenge countdown continues this week over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This time we are changing things a little bit and having one word prompt challenges as well as the elemental inspiration challenge coming at the beginning of December.

This week's word prompt is BELIEVE.

How will you use the word BELIEVE on your creations this week?  Remember it doesn't have to be for Christmas and could be other projects not just cards.

I cannot take credit for this as I saw lots of these projects on Pinterest, and I just had to make one for my little boy.

It's basically a tag with one of the magic sleigh bells from Father Christmas.  The story says if you can hear the bell ring you believe, and I just love that.

I used the Tailor Made Tag Dies for tag base and cut several out to make the tag sturdier to hang in the tree.  We also have a magic key to hang in the tree and Father Christmas moves it after he has used it to open the door as we don't have a big fireplace.  I would love to know how you create the magic for your little ones at home.

I then found these large jingle bells that I had in my crafting stash and added one of those.  I also included a smaller tag with the word believe stamped onto it.

I can't wait for Christmas to tell my son where this bell came from.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

This is our last challenge of the year so please join us again in the new year for more creative challenges.

From myself and all the Design Team have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Merry Christmas Makes #10

Hello everyone and I hope you are enjoying the run up to Christmas.  I hope by now that you have your tree decorated.

Merry Christmas Makes

As we are all super busy now with Christmas preparations, I wanted to create a card that can be made fairly quickly.  I just wanted to take a few supplies and make a cute but simple card.

I have made two cards for this week's project.

This one just uses a stamped sentiment and some pretty designer series paper.  The sentiment is from the Snowman Magic set and the paper is the host gift in the seasonal catalogue called Celebrate Everything

The next card I have created uses the same paper pack and stamp set but I have just stepped it up a level and used some white embossing powder to give a chalk board effect.

I have just added a little bit of colour to the designer series paper as the paper is black and white and those trees were crying out to be coloured in

I then added a cute bow, and the bell is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - One Word Prompt - GIFT

 Hello everyone.

Our Christmas challenge countdown continues this week over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This week's word prompt is GIFT.

How will you use the word Gift on your creations this week?  Remember it doesn't have to be for Christmas and could be other projects not just cards.

I have created a gift bag and matching tag.

I have used the tailor made tag dies to create the tag.  I cut one from white cardstock and a larger one from some designer series paper.  I then added a sentiment, and the tree came from the trees for sale stamp set which is retiring soon.

The ribbon was some that I had in my stash, and I think it came from Lidl last year.

Inside the bag is a warm hug, a sachet of coffee, a spoon and some camomile tea.

I made this one for a customer to say thank you.

I like to have some little treats stashed away just in case.  Perhaps this would make a lovely teacher gift or just a small thank you to someone that needs it.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas Makes #9

Hello and welcome to my blog and another festive project.

Merry Christmas Makes

I had this idea for today's project swimming around in my head for ages and just hoping that when I received the Snowman Magic Bundle that the snowman would fit inside the gumball machine.

I was so pleased that it did.

I am a huge fan of shaker card designs and if I can make a card shake when full of sequins and sparkle it makes me happy.

I have used the retired (spring/summer) gumball greetings bundle to create the shaker part of the card.  I always try and show you not only current Stampin Up products but ones that we may already have and then show you how they can work together.

I love this one so much.  You could also fill this one with Christmas peppermint swirls if you have a stamp or a small Christmas tree.  The penguin place stamp set might also work, I must try that as my son would love it.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - December Elemental Inspiration

Hello everyone and welcome back to another challenge from the Daring Cardmakers.

It's the first Friday of the month and that means it's an elemental inspiration challenge.
Just select 3 elements from the image below to be used on your card.

For my card I went with the colours, texture to match the fireplace, a black on white sentiment and the foliage in the Christmas rose.

I have used lots of retired items that I had hidden in my stash.  The embossing folder is called tin tiled and I think it was one of the first 3d embossing folders I bought.  The detail is amazing.  I then fussy cut the flower from a sheet of designer series paper.

I think I also picked the sentiment as one of pictures is a beautiful living room scene, so I had to include the word home on the card somewhere.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Please pop by next week for another word prompt challenge.

Have a lovely weekend.
