Merry Christmas Makes #4

 Hello everyone.

I know its Halloween today but as it fell on Monday it coincides with my Christmas series, oops.

I have another project to share with you and one that had been in my head for a while that I needed to get creating.

Merry Christmas Makes

I wanted to fill a teacup from the Cup Of Tea bundle with festive foliage.

I had to use the retired sparkle of the season but if you have any stamp sets that have this kind of greenery then it would work too.

I just love the black and white striped cup.

I finished the card with a little bling and a sentiment.  I also used an embossing folder in the background just to break up all the white space.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Have a great Halloween and stay safe.

Daring Cardmakers - Creature Comforts

Hello everyone.  It's the end of another week which means it's time for some crafty fun from the team at Daring Cardmakers.

Joanne is our lovely host this week and would like to see some fury (or feathery) friends all dressed up warm and cosy for the winter.  I appear to have mis read the brief and dressed up a penguin as Rudolph.  He still looks really cute and with all those feathers perhaps he is already cosy enough.

He is just so adorable with his antlers and red nose.
I have used the Penguin Place stamps and the matching punch to create the card.  The stamp set does have a scarf and a hat so had I read the brief correctly he would have been wearing those.

I then went onto to create a little matching tag.  My son loves penguins so I think I will keep this one for him.

Merry Christmas Makes #3

Hello everyone and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas Makes

I have a project to share today which uses some retired sale a bration items and a current stamp set.

When I saw this die set with the little camper, I just had to have it. I have shared a card using just the die set which was back in the summer, but the set is also for Christmas.

I have used the Trees For Sale stamp set and the matching set of dies called Tree Lot from Sale A Bration.  If you were lucky enough to get them then they do make some fabulous festive projects.

I have just created a cute scene for the front of the card.  I also used some designer series paper called Celebrate Everything which is available as a hostess gift.  You can get this paper pack if your order is over £150 and you get a whopping 48 sheets at half the price.

This is one of my favourite sets as I have found that it also covers other occasions as I made a lovely card for my husband's birthday with it

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you next week when I share project number 4.

Super Scary Season - Daring Cardmakers.

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Rizwana is our lovely host this week and as Halloween is just around the corner asked to see your spooky makes.

I have made two cards this week for each of my children along with a little box that holds a two Milka chocolate bars.

I have a few more projects that coordinate with what I have made but I will share those later as I am making goodie bags for my children.

I have used a host set of designer series paper for the cards and boxes which is called Celebrate Everything.  The paper pack contains lots of paper for all kinds of occasions including these fun designs for Halloween.

I have then used a retired stamp and die bundle called Sparkle of the Season to create the sentiments and die cut shapes.

I just went with the same theme of black and yellow/orange.  I thought my little boy would like the ghosts but when I showed him the stars paper, he said he liked that better, I may have to mix and match the papers so they both have a bit of each design.

Merry Christmas Makes #2

Hello everyone and welcome back to my festive series of projects.

Merry Christmas Makes

I wanted to keep using the cute Snowman Magic Bundle but this time I have made a card.  I also wanted to make the topper look like a snow globe but without the shaker part.

I started by cutting a circle of vellum using the Snowflake Specialty Vellum.  I then added the greeting to the bottom using a stitched rectangle which I thought would look like the base of the snow globe.  I added some trees and the snowman.  I have also used some designer series paper which came from Sale A bration which is sadly now retired.  I thought it gave the card a wintery look.

I finished the card with a little bling to the trees.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop by next week for another Merry Christmas Makes project.

Daring Cardmakers - Big On Backgrounds

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Nat is our lovely host this week and would like to see you create your own backgrounds on your cards.  You could use stamps, stencils, dies etc but make your background stand out.

I had recently bought my first ever background stamp so I thought I must use it for this challenge.

The stamp I have used is called Rays Of Light.  It's a beautiful sort of sunburst effect.
I decided to get a little creative with the stamp and added different colours of ink to the stamp to create sort of a sunset/sunrise colour combo.

I then added the sentiment and a few die cut clouds and a little bling.

I really love how this card has turned out and I can't wait to use this stamp some more, it's just stunning.

Have a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas Makes #1

 Hello everyone.

I am so pleased to be able to bring back my series of Christmas makes.  I started this series of festive makes back in 2019, where I showcase some of our fabulous seasonal products.

So, let's start with project number one.

Merry Christmas Makes

I had to start with one of my favourites which is shaker projects.  I have made a little snowman shaker tree decoration, isn't he cute?

I used the Snowman Magic Bundle to create the little snowman with is woolly hat and scarf.
I have also used the For Everything Fancy Sequins.  These have got be one of the best sequins I have found for your shaker projects, I love them.  You get 3 tubs filled with all kinds of sequins and in 3 different colours of pink, blue and green.

I also used some of the prettiest vellum I have seen called Snowflake Speciality Vellum. You get several sheets of different designs; some have iridescent foiling, and some are flocked. I then finished the shaker with a little hanging cord using some Iridescent trim.

Thank you so much for popping by to see the first projects and please come back next week for project number 2.

Daring Cardmakers - October Elemental Inspiration

 Hello everyone.

Wow, hasn't September just flown by?  I love this time of year and this week's challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers is just perfect to inspire your seasonal crafting.

Shabneez is our lovely host this week and as it's the beginning of the month there is a gorgeous elemental inspiration image to help with your creativity.

Remember to select at least 3 elements to be featured on your card.
I picked the colours, the brick wall, the stripes, leaves and a cup which the coffee beans inspired.

I started with the background and used the Bricks and Mortar Embossing Folder. I then stamped and die cut all the leaves for the cup using a retired set called Sparkle of the Season.  The cup came from a set called Cup of Tea.  I stuck with 3 main colours to match the stripes in one of the images which were Misty Moonlight (retired), Merry Merlot and Early Espresso.

And of course, I had to finish my card with a little bling.

Have a lovely weekend.
