Daring Cardmakers - In The Garden

Hello everyone.

This week has flown by. I have been covering for holiday leave at a shared residence for the elderly which has been a fabulous experience for me.

So I thought I would stop by today and share this weeks challenge from the team at Daring Cardmakers.

Our host this week is the lovely Shabneez who would like to see something from your garden on your cards.

I took inspiration from my Mother In Laws garden as I am not green fingered at all and my garden consists of lots of outdoor toys for the children, a large table and a decked area.

My Mother In Law has this gorgeous magnolia tree in her garden and the scent from the flowers is amazing, so I created a card featuring one of the flowers.

I used the stunning stamp set called Good Morning Magnolia. I stamped the flower and used stampin blends to colour it in. I then cut out the magnolia using the matching die set which is called Magnolia Memory Dies.

I then added a little sentiment and finished with some sequins.

Cereal Bar Box

Hello everyone.

I can not put down the Nothing's Better Than bundle. I am finding this set great for all occasions and for gifting. For todays project I have made a little box to fit a cereal bar. I suppose a more healthy option than a chocolate bar.

To make the box you will need a piece of early espresso card stock that measures 7" x 6"

Score on the long side at 1" and 6"

Score on the short side at 1", 2 1/2", 3 1/2" and 5"

Here is a little guide so you can see where to cut. You will then need to add glue to the squares that I have notched in slightly.

Glue the bottom four squares to the rectangles as this will form the base of the box, like the picture above. Then glue the last two squares to the remaining rectangles which will form the box lid.
