August Elemental Inspiration

So sorry that I have been missing from Blog Land for a while.  We recently got our son christened so we have been really busy planning it and enjoying the company of family and friends.

The day went really well, the service was so lovely although the weather could have been a bit better but we did manage to spend some time in the garden afterwards.

To this weeks challenge at Daring Cardmakers.

You need to choose 3 elements from the picture above.  If you look closely there are tonnes of elements you could use.

Here is my card, which I made for my husband as he celebrates his birthday next week.

I have used the main colours which look like blue and brown, wood and some corrugated card to match the panel to the left of the picture.

My daughter also made a little card for her Daddy using the same picture and a few bits from Mummys stash.

  1. Hi Dawn, love your cards for the dare this week. Brilliant!

  2. You chose such good elements from the picture to use on your card - perfect for a masculine card. Your daughter;s card is fab - aren't you the perfect mummy allowing her to dip into your stash ;)

  3. It's great that you found the time to craft along with us this week. Beautiful cards, both yours and your daughter's - I hope you both keep going! Hugs. Svenja

  4. You have both picked really great elements, love them. Creative Blessings, Tracy x
