Its National Superhero Day!
So to celebrate at Daring Cardmakers Nat our lovely host has set the perfect challenge,
Make a card dedicated to the
Superhero in your life.
Mine has to be my Dad. This is a hard thing for me to write but my Dads cancer has beaten him and he has fought like a Superhero for a few years now. So this card is for him he will always be my Superhero and I am super proud of him.
We will face this next chapter together as a family.
Love You Dad.
I have been missing for a few weeks as we went to visit my parents in England over the school Easter holidays. So I havent got around to posting the last few dares from Daring Cardmakers.
For my card I went with a Captain America theme and used the Stampin Up stitched framelits to make the shield and the sentiment is a download but I can't remember where from. I found it lose in one of my card files.
I also used a stars embossing folder to create the background using blue glitter card which I think you can just about see in the photo.
Don't forget to stop by the Design Team Blogs for more superhero inspired creation.
Have a great weekend.
What a lovely tribute to your dad Dawn, he really is a hero. I love your card, the embossed background is stunning. Cathy x
ReplyDeleteAs Cathy says - a lovely tribute to your dad. My dad was my Superhero too, and he still is because whenever I'm in doubt, I ask myself what his advice would have been.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful is this card Dawn? It is a beautiful tribute in more ways than one. To the strongest man you know. xx
ReplyDeleteA great way to honour your dad, Dawn, it looks great and says so much more than an "off the peg" one.
ReplyDeletethis card is so amazing. You can see the love that put this together and it is a lovely way to say thank you to your dad for all that he is - and always will be - to you
ReplyDeletethe Round Table and Merlin. There's really little doubt there was some relatively famous chieftain back then that over time morphed into the popular image of King Arthur, Camelot and the Arthurian legends/mythologyComic forum
ReplyDeleteCheers to all the fallen heros in our lives Love
