Crossing The Bar

Hello Everyone.

This is a difficult post to write but my Dad sadly lost his 9 year battle to cancer on 30th July.  We said goodbye to him last week.

I just want to apologise if some of my regular Friday posts are missing.

Dad had a lovely service and I am sure we did him proud.  My Dad fought to the end and I am so proud of him.  I just hope I have his courage and strength in the days, months, weeks, years to follow.

As my Dad served in the Royal Navy from 1962-1972 I wanted to share a couple of projects I made that I would have been sending to my Dad.

The Royal Navy was such a big part of his life and my brother and I then followed in his footsteps.  How could we not after listening to all his stories.

I have used the Come Sail Away Suite to create this box frame and the little post it note holder.

I love the sentiments from the stamp set.

My Dad would have love these little gifts, especially the little anchor and knots.

My Dad was excellent at Seamanship and he created knot boards and bell ropes in his spare time.

I think I get my creative side from him.

The heavens have gained a new star.
Shine bright Dad.
