A Flurry of Snowflakes

Hello everyone.

I am keeping with a bit of Christmas theme this week and sharing a project I have made using a stamp set from the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

I have made two cards.  One is very traditional with red and green and the other I have used highland heather and balmy blue with silver.

To create the card I started with a square of white card stock and stamped the snowflakes from the Snowflake Sentiments set in real red and garden green.  I waited for this to dry and then I stamped and heat embossed some of the snow flakes in gold.

I then finished the card with a greeting also heat embossed in gold.

Here is the same card but with silver embossing powder and highland heather and balmy blue ink.

I am not sure which one I like the best as the gold one has a lovely traditional feel and the silver card feels all frosty and cold.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a lovely day.

Please pop over to the Stampin up Website for more details and when placing an order please add me (Dawn Barwick), country (France), address (St Hernin) as your demonstrator.

Merry Christmas Makes #6

Hello everyone.

Its project number 6 today and we are getting closer to Christmas.

Merry Christmas Makes

For this weeks card I have a rainbow of Christmas lights.

As a child I will always remember my Dad having to check all the blubs on the Christmas lights as every year they would never work.

I do love the vintage style lights.

To make the card I started with a piece of white card stock and layered this onto some real red card stock and allowed a little border.

Next I stamped out the light bulb with the star inside from the Making Christmas Bright Bundle using lots of different colours of ink.

To make the bulbs look glossy I stamped straight over the top using versamark and added a couple of layers of clear embossing powder.  Or you could use some glossy accents.

Doing this will darken the colour of your stamped image.

I then stamped out and heat embossed in gold the filament for the top of the bulbs.  I then attached the bulbs to my card using some dimensionals.

To finish the card I added a stamped greeting in black.

Another quick and easy card.  I love a rainbow of lights.

Thanks for stopping by today and please stop by next Monday and I will share another Merry Christmas Make with you.

Daring Cardmakers Christmas Flowers and Foliage

Welcome everyone to another challenge from Daring Cardmakers.  This weeks challenge is to create a card with some winter foliage.

I have made a pretty wreath with a bit of a frosty look.

I included some silver glitter card and a bit of grey but still kept the traditional red and green in the wreath.

To make the wreath card I first die cut an circle aperture and then place the piece I have cut back into the hole.  This makes it easier for me to line up my stamped images.

I then began stamping the foliage around the circle.  I have used a retired stamp set from Stampin' Up called Deck The Halls as it contained the lovely poinsettia stamp.

I also used my favourite set called Jar Of Love which I have used for the rest of the foliage.

To finish the card I used a sentiment from the Snowflake Sentiments Stamp Set and stamped this in grey and added a little poinsettia to the edge.

Thank you for stopping by today and please stop by the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

We can't wait to see what you create.

Have a great weekend.
