Daring Cardmakers - Blue, Yellow, Sunflowers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Friday challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Today we are showing our support for the people of Ukraine by filling our blogs with blue, yellow or Sunflowers.

If you would love to join in that would be wonderful.

I have used  the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle from Stampin Up to create my card.  I used some designer series paper that has a woodgrain effect and then stamped the sunflowers over the top.  I wanted the sunflower to stand out in the centre so I go to work colouring this in with stampin blends.

I am not great at colouring and shading but this stamp does all the hard work for you as some areas are darker than others which helps to know where to add the darker shades.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Waves and a Light House

 Hello everyone.

I hope you have had a lovely weekend.

I have another fun project to share today using the waves of inspiration bundle but this time I have added in an element from the sailing home set, which is one of my favourites.

If you saw the card I made on Wednesday you will have seen that I used the anchor and some seaweed from the Sailing home stamps and dies.  This time I thought it would be fun to use the lighthouse.

I am loving crating with this set as I was struggle with masculine cards and now I have a few cards made to add to the card stash.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Daring Cardmakers - March Elemental Inspiration

Its Friday and challenge time from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

As its now March we have an elemental inspiration challenge for you and Kathy is our lovely host this week.

Please pick 3 elements from the image below to be used on your card.

I have picked the Eiffel Tower, gems, coffee and petit fours to match the shops and the designer series paper contains the word Paris.

I made this card with my daughter in mind who celebrates a big birthday soon.  I thought she might like a grown up theme for her birthday this year but no.  Typical teenager and tells me that she hates pink.  She wants a green and brown themed birthday.  But when I looked at my Pinterest feed it seems she has been looking at another Anime called Demon Slayer and some of the parties she has looked at are guess what? Green and Brown.

Looks like I will be be buying another party kit from Amazon.

So this is my Paris chic inspired card for anyone that happens to be 13 soon.

I have used my favourite Nothings Better Than stamp set for the cups and petit fours which are supposed to be chocolates.  But I think as I have stamped them in pink they kind of look like them.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weekend.

Waves Of the Ocean Suite

 Hello everyone.

I am really excited to share this new suite with you all today.  It was launched yesterday ahead of the new annual catalogue and its just stunning.

When I saw the amazing wave that was contained in the stamp set I just had to get my hands on it.

The suite has a matching stamp and die set, designer series paper, gems and foiled card stock.  I did share a little video to my Facebook page which you can find here All Things Pretty Craftee.

I made this card to showcase the beautiful wave stamp.  I stamped the wave first in coastal cabana then added Bermuda bay and pacific point using a sponge.  I then masked off the wave and added some more ink using a blending brush to create the sky.

I also added in a few embellishments from the sailing home stamp and die set.

I really love this suite and I can't wait to share more with you.

Thanks for stopping by today.
