Friends are like seashells and the waves of the ocean

Hello everyone.

I have been crafting with the early release from Stampin Up called Waves of the Ocean.

When I saw the suite I knew it would go perfectly with my other beach and sea themed stamps and dies.

For todays card I have combined it with Friends are like Seashells.

I used a piece of the designer series paper which I though looked like waves washing up on a beach so I immediately thought I need some seashells.

I stamped and die cut some seashells, a sand dollar and cut out some seaweed to add to the card.

All the seaweed reminded me of the beach I grew up by as a child. The beach always seemed to have loads of seaweed that you needed to walk through to get to the sea for a paddle.

This set is great for both male and female cards but just lately I have been trying to add to my stash of more masculine cards.

Daring Cardmakers - Hello Spring

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Friday challenge from the team at the Daring Cardmakers.

Shabneez is our lovely host this week and as its nearly the official day of Spring has asked you to use anything to do with the season on your cards think tulips, daffodils, lambs etc...

I picked daffodils as I remember when I was little my mam would always have a bunch in a vase on the window ledge at home. This card is in honour of my dear mam who I lost last year.

I have used this gorgeous designer series paper which was part of the Sale A Bration offer at Stampin Up and just used a pretty sentiment. I wanted the paper to be the star of the card and I added one of these cute bee embellishments.

Lip Balm Box and waves of the ocean

Hello everyone.

I was actually meant to share this project on Wednesday but I was having a few internet issues so I thought I would wait until today.

I saw this project over at Paper Pixie and I had the lip balm stashed away in my craft drawer for ages in readiness to make something.

The original packing was a bit boring so it needed to be made pretty.

The lip balm is the same colour as costal cabana so I just had to make it match. I have also used the new waves of the ocean designer series paper to decorate the box.

The waves of the ocean suite is an early release as the products will also be available in the new annual catalogue.
