July Elemental Inspiration from Daring Cardmakers

Hello everyone and Happy Friday.

 

For us here in France its the start of the summer holidays.  I wonder how long it will be before I hear the words "I'm bored".

 

Its my turn to host the dare over at Daring Cardmakers.  As its the first Friday of the month its elemental inspiration week and I have picked the pretty image below.

 

Its full of lots of lovely elements and who doesn't love unicorns?  Having a little girl in the house who likes My Little Pony means I am surrounded by them.

 

 

 

Remember you need to use at least 3 elements on your creation.

 

For my card I picked the unicorn, stars, colours, wooden stick and the gold edging on the cups and plates.

 

I wanted to make my card look like one of those carousel horses you see at the fair but with a magical element.

 

I created my background first and just added lots of pretty ink to the cardstock but I though it looked to dark so I rub a bit of white ink all over the top.

 

I then used several dies from Spellbinders.  I used the Die D-Lies Unicorn Fantasy set to create the unicorn which I cute from white glitter card.

 

For the clouds I used the Die D-Lites Flight 2 set and used a bit of gilding wax around the edges.

The stars were cut from mirror and glitter card stock using the Die D-Lies Lets Party Shining Star set.
