Hello everyone.
I have been missing for a week as we were having trouble with our phone and internet. We had one night of some rather unexpected windy weather which pulled out our line. Thankfully today we are back up and running.
So in order to catch up with my blog posts I thought I would combine a little Spellbinders with a bit of Bubbly Funk.
I received my Hello Spring Through the Letter box from Bubbly Funk and inside was a stunning stencil from Hero Arts.
This months box from Bubbly Funk is full of lovely items to add to your craft stash all inspired by Spring colours, its a box full of cheer.
I decided to have a play with the stencil as this is a very new technique for me.
To make my card I took a square of white card stock and used the stencil and used 3 different ink colours. These colours together reminded me of the sea so that's where the mermaid comes in.
After I inked through the stencil I sprayed it with some peal ink and left this to dry. While it was drying I cut out the pieces I needed for my mermaid using a fabulous dies from Spellbinders.
All the pieces for the Mermaid you can die cut separately which is fabulous. This means you can change the colour of her tail or her hair. I decided to colour her hair in with promarkers just to add a bit of shading.
I then created a bit of a underwater scene using some stamps and added a few sequins which I thought looked liked bubbles.
I finished my card with a little greeting and added a star fish and a little shell embellishment which is also in the Build A Mermaid set from Spellbinders.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely week.
Good to have you back online :-) You know how much I love mermaids so that die is a winner for me. This card is an absolute stunner. Cathy x
