A Bit of Red, White and Blue

Hello crafters.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

As its nearly the 4th of July I have been inspired to make a red, white and blue card using dies from Spellbinders and the lovely image from  Paper Sweeties.

Its a little nod to my American friends and followers and of course to Spellbinders for creating such fabulous dies that I get to work with each week.

To make this card I wanted to keep it fairly simple so it would appeal to all ages.

I started with the embossed background which I kept simple and just used plain white card stock.  The embossing folder I used is by Tammy Tutterow called Blistered.

I then used the Die D-Lites Shining Star Lets Party set to create all the little stars and I cut these from glitter card.  The little shooting star is from the Die D-Lites Spaced Out set.

To create the sentiment I used the Die D-Lites Make a Wish set and cut this from mirrored black card stock.  I then finished with a couple of sequins.

I love how you can make all these die sets work together.  I have used three different sets on this card and just took little elements from each.

Thanks for stopping by and please check out the Spellbinders Website for more details about the dies I have used.
