Spooky

Morning all.

Its my daughters first day back at school and she was a little nervous and very excited to return.  I managed to get a couple of pictures before she left and one at school of all her class but it was rather difficult having my youngest wanting to run off and play.

I have some spooky cards to show you today using some of the new Halloween dies from Spellbinders.

To make the first card I cut an aperture into my cardstock and created a little spooky sunset using different coloured inks.  I then cut out the web using the Shapeabilities Spider Web Card Front Die.  I placed this over the area that I had inked.

I then used grey and kraft cardstock and created more apertures to give a sense of looking into the web.  I then cut the witch using Shapeabilities Witch On A Broom from black and silver cardstock to create the little shadow effect.

I also used an embossing folder called Blistered which I added black ink to before I ran it through my Platinum machine.

I then finished my card with a little spooky sentiment from the set called Shapeabilities Spooky Tree.

For my next card I used Shapeabilities Spooky Tree set which comes with the sentiment, a tree and a bat.

I die cut a circle of white cardstock and made another sunset style background using different coloured inks.

I used the same embossing folder and technique as before but this time use grey cardstock.

I then cut the tree, bats and sentiment all from black card stock and added them to the inked background.

Two different cards without a piece of designer paper in sight which is unusual for me as most of my cards do have it on somewhere.  I haven't actually bought any Halloween papers this year so I think I most go shopping for some.

Please click on the links for more details about the die sets I have used.

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by.
