Hello everyone.
For this weeks Spellblogger post using dies from Spellbinders I wanted to create a male card. I really struggle with these cards and I thought I needed some to add to my card box.
I thought the Shapeabilities Coffee Break die from Seth Apter would be a great one to use. I decided to use the die to create a background.
I cut 4 of the Coffee rings from white card stock. I then added ink to each using some Tim Holtz distress inks in various colours. I then sprayed these with water and allowed them to dry. After they were dry I added some versamark ink in a few random places and used some gold embossing powder, which I then heat set.
I then added the Coffee Rings to a square of white card stock, trimmed off the excess and layered this onto some black card stock.
I finished my card with a sentiment using the Simply Said Phrase One die set also from Spellbinders. I cut this from black card stock and added a drop shadow in gold.
A card perfect for a coffee lover or great for a masculine card.
Thanks for stopping by today and please check out the website over at Spellbinders for all the details about the dies I have used on todays project.
I love this Dawn. The design is fabulous and I really like the touch of gold, it gives a really special feel to the card. Cathy x
