Getting To Know You

Happy Weekend to you all.

Its my turn to host the challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog.

I want to get to know you as a crafter.  What are your favourite techniques and where do you like to craft?

If you follow my blog you will all know how much I love to make shaker cards.  I think they are so much fun and I get to add another of my favourite crafting elements, glitter and sequins.

So for my own challenge I had to make a shaker card using one of my favourite stamp sets from Stampin Up called Jar Of Love.

I cut out the jar several times and cut out the centre to make lots of frame to house my sequins.  I find this way easier than using foam tape as the sequins and glitter always seem to escape.

To create the background of my card I used another stamp set from Stampin Up called wood words and I then used the wood planks embossing folder also from Stampin up.

I decided to keep my card simple in colour and used a lot of white space.  I then used the Die D-Lites Create A Sunflower Die to add some colour to my jar.

I finished with a die cut greeting using Shapeabilities Simply said Phrase One Set.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check out what favourite techniques the Design Team like to use over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.

xXx
