Hello everyone.
Its Friday and time for another challenge from the team at Daring Cardmakers. Joanne is our lovely this week and has picked the theme of superstition, well it is Friday 13th. My mam was very superstitious and was always knocking on wood and wouldn't let you put new shoes on the table.
I live in France and there seems to be loads of single magpies so I find that I am forever saluting them. Please tell me I am not the only one that does this? I also try to do it so discreetly as I am not sure if its a superstition in France.
I have gone with knocking on wood or touch wood as my superstition. So my card features a lovely woodgrain effect background.
I have also gone with a bit of an autumnal theme and used lots of brown and yellow with a splash of gold for the sunflower
Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.
Have a great weekend and happy crafting.
Relieved to see you mentining shoes on the table - not many people seem to know about that one! Do you just salute or do you send greetings too? ("Good morning Mr Magpie, how is Mrs Magpie and all the little magpies?" - not sure I could do it in French!). Love your cheerful sunshiney card, Dawn!
ReplyDeleteI say "salute you Mr Magpie sir" Which I now realise I have been saying it wrong for all these years.
