Hello everyone.
Oh my goodness its the school holidays!!
I wonder how long it will be before I hear the familiar phrase of "I'm bored".
Well I am very excited to share with you my first creation as a Stampin Up demonstartior.
When I was looking through the new catalogue and I saw the Follow Your Dream Bundle I just had to have it as part of my starter kit. I am so happy I ordered it as I just love it. Its just the prettiest stamp set I have seen in a long time.
If you are a follower of my blog you will know how much I love shaker cards. So guess what? I made this into one.
I started with a piece of white card stock and added some of the subtles collection ink. I used blushing bride, so saffron and soft sea foam.
I then spritzed this using a little water and some shimmer ink that I had in my craft stash.
Once this was dry I stamped the image over the coloured area.
I then made my shaker part. I cut the hole in the card using the circle die from the Follow Your Dreams bundle and glued a piece of window sheet behind.
To stop my sequins escaping I like to cut frames using a set of nesting dies rather than foam square as I find it easier. To make my frames I used the stitched shapes framelits die. I cut out about 6 and glued them all together. I glued this around the hole and added my sequins.
For the flowers I stamped these in black and used an Aqua Painter to add a little colour to the flowers.
I then cut the decorative centre from gold card stock.
I finished my card with the die cut greeting and stamp from the set.
Please pop over to the Stampin up Website for more details and when placing an order please add me (Dawn Barwick) as your demonstrator.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Thank you. X
