Daring Card Makers - Mid Summers Day

Friday is challenge day over at Daring Cardmakers.

Nat is our host this week and the challenge is to mark the longest day in the northern hemisphere by creating a card celebrating summer in some way, or for extra points take your inspiration from the play, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

For me you can't have summer without ice cream especially with two children.

I do love a 99 (whippy ice cream with a Cadbury flake) and something else I have never found in France.

I have made two cards today, one in English and the other in French.

I have created a pretty pastel rainbow of ice-creams for both of these card using a stamp set called Broadway Birthday along with the matching die set to cut them out.  I also used a stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet for the French sentiment.

For this card I have used the stamp set called Broadway Birthday for the sentiment.

The rectangle stitched dies also make great base to add your toppers.

I added a little bit of wink of stella to the ice cream which is so hard to photograph and then I added some pretty sequins for extra sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check out what the very talented Design Team created over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.
