Daring Cardmakers Weekly Challenge

Its my turn to host the challenge over at Daring Cardmakers.

I have called the challenge "Cut It Up" and I want to see you use up those designer papers but make them the focal point of your card.

I know we all like to save our lovely pretty papers but I want you to use them on your creations this week and make them the main focus.
You could either simply use a lovely big piece and just add a greeting, cut out lots of pieces and make a pattern or just use elements from the papers to make a topper for your card.

For my card I decided to cut out all the flowers from a piece of designer paper and create a new background.

I used some gorgeous paper called Mosaic Mood from Stampin' Up!  The large designs made it easy to cut out and rearrange on the card front.  The paper also has some shiny transparent accents which makes it extra pretty.

I then stamped a greeting directly on to the card and placed the cut out flowers around this and giving some a little dimension by added foam squares to give them height.

I then finished with a few sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today and please check what lovely creations the Design Team made over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.

  2. Really great card Dawn, I always admire the effort of fussy cutting as I rarely ever do it (unless I have to! hehe). I'm a very lazy crafter! lol
