Daring Cardmakers Catch Up - I'd Like To Be Under The Sea

Hello everyone.

I have catch up number three for you today.  This is a very similar challenge to last week but this time its an under water theme with no technique.

The challenge was to feature any underwater life on your cards.

I made a little blooper with this card.  If you look very closely the background waves on the white cardstock are upside down.

To create the card I used a stunning embossing folder called High Seas.

I created the little undersea panel by inking up the embossing folder with different shades of blue ink.  When you lay your card stock on top and run it through your die cutting machine the ink will transfer to the card and also the embossed pattern.

I then added some seaweed using the Smooth Sailing Dies.  I also used some of the seaweed from the laser cut backgrounds from the Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.  These laser cut background are gorgeous and you can easily add ink to them.

I then added some fish and a stamped greeting from a retired set.

Please check out the challenges over at Daring Cardmakers.
We would love to have you join in.

  1. Fabulous embossing folder - it looks great both inked and plain (and even upside down!) Love the weed spilling over to link the coloured panel and the white - great card Dawn!
