Daring Cardmakers - Animal Antics

Hello everyone.  The countdown to Christmas continues over at the Daring Cardmakers.

This week you can make any project but it must feature an animal.  So please share your projects with reindeers, penguins, polar bears etc...

I have created a diorama style Christmas decoration.

I have used a gold mini pizza box for the base of the decoration.  I have then cut an aperture in the top.

I then created the little scene inside the box.  I used some retired Stampin Up products to create the wintery scene.  I started by creating the sky.  I cut a piece of card just smaller than the box and die cut the moon and stars.  I added a little bit of ink and placed some gold card behind so you can see the stars more clearly.

Next I added the trees and also the snowy banks.  These I just cut to fit and then ripped the paper to give the edges a little snow drift look.  Some of the layers I added foam pads, to give the scene more dimenion.  I then finished with the little reindeer to complete the scene.

I decorated the box with some die cut foilage and added some ribbon so the decoration could be hung in the Christmas tree.

Thanks for stopping by today and please head over to the Daring Cardmakers Blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Have a lovely weeeknd.
